Legend of Fu Yao

Both are by the same author and the FL lead in TRoF is actually the last descendant from LoFY. Both have a brilliant and smart FL and ML but I really like the portrayal of the FL in TRoF. TRoF is more about politics and court intrigue and although LoFY also has that it also has stunning fight scenes. Also LoFY has a touch of fantasy/magic while TRoF is set in the world of mortals. The romance in TRoF is slow burn where in LoFY its all there. But both had leads with sizzling chemistry.

Both relationships between the leads are a similar playful push and pull and develop deeper as the drama goes on, along with the male leads only having one love interest. Less plotting in Legend of Yunxi, but it also deals with palace politics.

both set in wuxia historical era. Strong female lead skilled in fighting, both male and female lead are very smart.

Although it’s been a while since I’ve watched both of these dramas, I remember both of them giving me similar vibes and plots.

- Girl starts off by denial and hatred towards the male lead.
- Their chemistry is amazing!
- Both have a similar yet different ending (I liked Legend of Fu Yao’s ending better).
- I can’t remember everything, but you will definitely like this Legend of Fu Yao if you liked The Princess Weiyoung.

The story of a young woman who get to know a mysterious man which becomes kind of a mentor for her. She is obtain huge unknown power and has to suffer a lot to trigger of this power. Both are kind of the life line story of 2 special women

Both the dramas are adapted from a novel, having a fantastical plots. they are also historical romantic plays, each one having a beautiful budding love story which maybe forbidden...

Both dramas start in the mortal realm and there is a background story where FL is a kind of divinity created to the harmony of the world in rough. Both have a great chemistry between the main leads.
ML and FL are quite powerful in both dramas.
