Watch if you like laid back romance or YangSeJong feast
I stumbled upon this drama while checking out Yang Sejong's profile.Glad I gave this a chance despite the initial comments I've seen in here. This would more likely appeal to viewers who wants laid-back, slice of life dramas.Notes:
- Acting is good and convincing, especially for the 2 MLs. Chemistry is so natural. It didn't bother me that i've just recently watched Dr. Romantic. They transitioned into the roles perfectly.
- Dialogue/script is good as well. It faintly reminds me of Run On.
- Annoying characters are tolerable
- On Jung Sun/Yang Se Jong: I loved how the character is very straightforward and honest. He knows exactly what he wants and sticks to it. I believe YSJ portrayed the character well. I'm a new fan obviously. His eyes are so expressive, especially when he's emotional/ teary-eyed. And that smile, so precious.
- Lee Hyun Soo/Seo Hyun Jin: Her character has its ups and down. I wished she could have been more firm with the rejection. She's the weaker link in the relationship but glad realization hits her quite quickly. I like Hyun Jin's acting as well. It's not overdone and I find her comfortable to watch.
- Favorite/Most remarkable line : " I've never confused you. Why must I be the only one that assures you?"
Would have given .5 star more if Won Joon had a different ending.

It’s very true to life and I really appreciate that it didn’t have all the foolishness and very silly tropes that seem to be popular in dramas these days. This lead me to get vey invested in the outcome of the series.
I foung myself talking to the screen as if these characters were my real life friends and have to say that this was very much worth watching.

I was okay with Hyun Soo's and Jung Sun's characthers - even if in the beginning I felt Jung Sun somehow didn't respect his girlfriend, Hyun Soo lol -, but I liked Jungwoo's personality the most. I don't think that he overplayed his character, if he didn't be like this, things wouldn't work out like in that ways. And he wasn't irritating me like Hong Ah did. That girl, oh my god... I don't want to talk about her and her relationship with Woon Jon. But the most worthed "couple story" was absolutely Kyung's and Joon Ha's. I loved them!

I don't trust the rating and I won't!
I never reviewed anything in my life. I comment on episodes when I hate or like something in them. However, I never wrote a review before. This review is my third review for anything, and I will follow a particular template or structure as I saw in others.Let me start with how much I enjoyed watching this show. It was a fantastic journey that I cherished and didn't want it to finish. I hold myself from watching episodes one after another to keep the feeling as long as I can. The lead actress was spot-on. Her acting in Dr. Romantic was fantastic, especially when it comes to the romantic part. She seems pure and suits her characters.
The chemistry between the leading trio was unbelievable how the story developed made it close to reality and added so much to its value. What made it even better was the likability of the evil characters or what should be in the eye of other dramas. I hated them for some episodes, then I sympathized with them and liked them toward the middle.
The way they directed and produced this drama was unique, from the choice of sites where they shot the scenes to how the camera roles. I enjoyed the portrayal of the buildings and how they move the camera to cover where you should look.
I saw some negative reviews saying that it was empty and didn't deserve the time to watch. I find these reviews weird. I want to read their point of view regarding "It's okay not to be okay" and how they stretch the staring scenes of the lead character whenever they meet or say "I love you" or "Why you don't love me".

A surprisingly good time
Story:Well-paced, believable and heartfelt.
Characters/Acting:
Even the most annoying character had traits that were relatable to me. I enjoyed the way the characters learned from their past and grew along the way. The chemistry between the three leads was excellent. I loved the relationship between the male leads especially. The acting in the show was amazing.
Music:
The music wasn't overbearing or cloying. It was always just right. I loved that.
Overall:
I felt at peace with the end of the drama and happy with the journey I'd gone on with these characters. This is a light, easy drama that pulls you in if you let it. I binged it in 3 days and I never felt anxious about the story or tense. I just wanted to go where it was takimg me. I can see myself watching this again when I want something to just make me feel good.

Story:
Like I said before it starts out good, the romance was cute and I liked the relationships all the characters had. Well except I absolutely hated Jo Bo Ah's character for a majority of the drama. She got better by the end but the story started to go to crap as the two male leads went through whatever you call they went through (it was dumb tbh) and then the lead couple (they went through realistic struggles) handled things so dumbly that I legit stopped watching the series for a good month. I did eventually return but only because of Yang Se Jong. So basically I liked the beginning, could've done without the middle crap, and then liked the end again.
Acting/Cast:
I was super excited to see Yang Se Jong in a romance drama but like this just wasn't the drama I was expecting. I did overall like his character though I didn't at times. The female lead was alright, she didn't really do anything note worthy. I did like their kiss scenes though. Kim Jae Wook's character annoyed me, he's not a very good friend whatsoever. I was disappointed since I liked him in Voice a lot. (Also did I mention at times I was more invested in the side character's romances? Well I was...)
Music:
I can't really remember the music so I guess it didn't stick out to me much. There are a few songs I liked though.
Rewatch Value:
I wound't fully rewatch the drama. I may replay some of the kiss scenes though, maybe even the ending.
Overall:
I don't recommend the drama if you aren't patient. Don't watch it with high expectations! Don't watch it because you love Yang Se Jong or Kim Jae Wook because it's highly likely you'll be disappointed.

For the casting, I can say that the actors and actresses are good and achieved to deliver the character's personality and developments.
Other than the story which had some up and downs I think it is a drama that can be watched when you do have time for that.

Endearing characters
When a love cynic and a romantic fall for each other.See them manage their relationship along with money, work and family problems.
You feel for the male lead who has a more difficult life than the female lead.
Afterwards, I missed them and rewatched the show> That makes it a great drama.
Wow male leads. The bromance steals the show.
Yang Se Jong won the Best New Actor award at the Baeksang Arts Awards for his work here.
(I noticed him in a scene shared on YouTube which led me to the drama.)
20 episodes but intense:
The love triangle got so painful... (welcome to k-drama!) I started watching Love like a galaxy for relief!
Torture: the other suitor becomes so attractive that I fell for him too!
One character is temperamental / insecure / mean but is an interesting addition. We should get a reward for enduring her! The main characters were really patient with her. I may be more patient in the future. I could say that « I watch k-dramas to better myself » ^^
The only thing that bugged me « seriously » is the minuscule portions served by the cute chef. I am a hungry person ^^, I would never be a happy customer at such an expensive restaurant. Pretty presentation though, with edible flowers :)
A couple of things were not believable so I removed 1 point :p
As expected... apolitical, capitalist, heteronormative, still too little diversity to speak of, and !! too many plastic bottles. Cultural products could be part of the solution instead of being part of the status quo.

This review may contain spoilers
Before my review begins,a bit of backstory is necessary for it.I begun to watch this drama with some expectations.Seo Hyun Jin is the leading actress(one of my personal favorite ones since I saw her on Another Miss Oh) and then Kim Jae Wook as the second lead(practically the guy that made me watch this.)I came to watch this show after finishing Voice and I was looking for something relaxing, something fun!The summary seemed interesting enough, the cast was more than great and the ost was nice too.So what went wrong?
Story/Characters:
The story is simple enough;Girl meets Boy,they fall in love but then get separated before reconnecting later on. While there were a lot of cliches,I can admit that I found myself enjoying this drama up until episode 20.It was fresh, fun,an easy watch, just what I was looking for.A good cast and a smart use of cliches can make up for a good or at least decent story. The thing is,I felt as if the drama didn't make use of its resources well enough and this is basically what annoyed me the most.
The lead female character was...well,her choices were questionable.I liked her during the first episodes and could find myself relating to her more than once but as the show progressed,we begin to understand she wasn't the mature writer she had convinced herself of being. In fact, she was more immature than even the male lead who was younger than her. That was a let down.
Speak of the devil, the male lead character wasn't that bad at all.He is not the reason why this drama didn't succeed to the point I'd be glad to say it did.He did act according to his character and some character development was evident for him too.Since I started talking about these two,I think it's only right that I state my opinion on the couple.Personally,I'm not that big of a noona couple so the couple in the show didnt appeal to me that much but it wasn't as if the two characters had no chemistry. The bummer was their attitude towards people around them. This show basically felt like:Here's the couple, enjoy lots of pointless cliche scenes that add nothing to the story. No side characters matter, just the lead couple.
The second male lead character was the character I liked the most and I have to say,Kim Jae Wook had a lot to do with it.CEO Park was good, gentle, fun, charming, caring but also had a sad past behind him.Not as if the present treated him any better.Throughout the series we experienced his heartbreak and difficulty to come to terms with being the second lead. But the thing is,he wasn't even being treated like one!He was always left outside and betrayed by those he valued the most constantly,it is impossible not to feel sad for him.If only he had been the first lead or at least the screenwriter developed his character more on screen. We need more of Kim Jae Wook for certain.
The second female lead character was the typical spoiled bratty rich girl who tries to sabotage the protagonist. But Hong Ah didn't feel that annoying to me at all.She felt rather real with all her jealousy and overreactions and I'm not being ironic.
The rest of the characters had some appeal to them but we couldn't explore them much.At least they were entertaining enough to notice.
Acting:
Like I previously mentioned the cast wasn't at fault. They did an excellent job and I even discovered new actors such as Yang Se Jong and Jo Bo Ah.Watching this show after Voice,I couldn't help but notice and applause Kim Jae Wook's versatility as an actor and that's one of the remarkable things of the show, how he managed to become a dreamy CEO when he was a serial killer in his previous show.
Music:
The ost was light most of the time and fit the scenes. It wasn't exactly memorable but I found myself singing along to the tunes sometimes so I guess it was good enough!
Rewatch Value and Overall Opinion:
Temperature of Love isn't bad. It's mediocre. It is better than High Society(one of the screenwriter's other dramas) and that's why I'm giving this a 7.5/10.I think effort should be appreciated. My main issues were with the story. Some things were hard to believe, some things were exaggerated and some other things were pointless.I wanted some more of this and some less of that.
There are far better shows to watch but if you are looking for an easy watch after an intense drama then this is a good choice I suppose. If you want a better version of Wok Of Love and worse version of Jealousy Incarnate then this is a good choice once again. If you want to see more of Kim Jae Wook, again, you're at the right place.
