After Wu Zheng takes Xiao Ou home, he tells her about Xiao Wei. Ye Zi asks someone to help her deliver a message to the detention center, but Lu Da Zhi dismisses it. Wu Zheng's flight has been delayed because of a liver transplant recipient. After he gets off the plane, Wu Zheng feels a pain in his back. He goes to get a check-up in the hospital. He is told that his lumbar spine has a severe issue, and whether he can still fly planes after the surgery depends on his recovery. Li Lei comes to see Wu Zheng and tells him about Li Li Qun's condition. She asks for Wu Zheng's help. Wu Zheng turns her down, though after she leaves, he begins to think about ways he can help.
