Miyamoto Cangye works with Junko to get He Ying to leave Ye Chong. Miyamoto Cangye kills Man Sheng in cold blood. Miyamoto Cangye learns that Tang Feng bought a lot of white phosphorous on the black market and that he most likely caused the ship to explode. Miyamoto Cangye arrests Mr. Chi for blowing up the ship. Ye Chong rushes in to save Mr. Chi, by saying the naval ship explosion needs to be thoroughly investigated. Miyamoto Cangye says he wants to find Communists in the factory, even if he needs to make one up. Xue Ping goes to save Tang Feng. Jin Xiang also leaves to save Tang Feng. Xue Ping and Tang Feng are pinned down by gunfire. Tang Feng is rescued by Jin Xiang.
