the mother really saved this episode

my feelings switched a lot as this episode progressed. hyuga always stuck out in the group in a bad way ，he basically had zero defining features & played toward nothing. which is why the idea of him having a drift story+line where he tries out his own path was a great idea but their conflict didn’t really feel rooted in anything. they started fighting because he had a bad attitude that’s literally it. it wasn’t building turmoil of not having a place in the group he just was being stank ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆　　 ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆ next concern was his mother. i feared that she wouldn’t get to have a meaningful moment with her son & then i find out she gets the best development the entire fucking episode. she was pretty satisgying but hyuga. . . . ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆　　 ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆ we really don’t learn anything about him. we don’t get to understand why he feels the way he does to his mother. ucchi’s episode with his mother meant something. it showed us how sweet these kids really were. here he just has some weird moral conflict & acts a little dumb
