Upon returning, Asule hears of his father's death and is coerced by Jing Hong to fight for the throne in Qingyang. Believing Xiao Zhou is held hostage by Jing Hong so that Asule would return to Xia Tang, Asule is comforted that Xiao Zhou can now return to Chu Wei state. However, Jing Hong goes back on his promises and uses Asule to make more demands on Xiao Zhou. Asule's life hangs in the balance.
