Asule returns to Qingyang to find General Muli amidst a bloody battlefield against the Shuobei tribe. He meets his maternal grandfather, Mengle Huo Er, who is also the chief of the Shuobei tribe. Arriving in North Capital, he sees the turmoil brewing as the brothers and chiefs do not stand united. He pledges his allegiance to the current Emperor, Beimogan, the eldest son and is shocked to see Su Ma alive, as his Queen.
