This drama has been on my top list to watch!, I like how the photos from this drama shows a dark shade with a creepy, sexy and seductive look! I did not regret watching this drama at all! At first, I thought the character of 'Shi Hyun' was Seo Kang Joon but I was wrong... they both look alike in some angle but damn... he turned me on xD
I loved how his character was created as a villain..e.. such as the bad guy and showed us his true and good side between episode. I don't think I've ever watched a Korean drama that includes making a bet with someone or doing a dare to make someone fall in love. And I liked how this kind of version in a Korean drama is new. It reminds me of that English Movie, 'AFTER'
Anyways, the story of this drama is very intrigued and I like how 'Tae Hee's' character is not some weak ass girl who cries and show those annoying female character. Her personality and features are amazing and as the drama keeps going, it makes me want to keep going and watch more.
I just wish that there was more Rom-Com and Shi Hyun being a bad guy. I wish they added a scene where Shi Hyun went to the club 'there was' and saw her there... or a scene where when they are in a bad state... they went to the club and saw each other... making one another jealous with some random people... I like jealousy scene HAHA I hope I can find this kind of drama somewhere in Korean EHHEHE.
Overall, I kind of feel bad for Se-Joo because it feels like his relationship with them is a one-sided... I wish For more KISSING SCENE TOO :(:(:(
Those three 'Se-Joo, Shi Hyun, and Soo-ji' are a 'SANA ALL' goals for us Young adults. Their friendship is amazing, I wish I can find someone like them...
Nonetheless, I recommend this drama, they 'tempted' ;) me to watch this and I am honored to experience lessons from this drama from the beginning till end.
I'm waiting for Woo Do Hwan' in the drama 'The King: Eternal Monarch' with Lee Min Ho!

Since almost all the reviews on this drama are negative, imma spill some positive tea (kinda? But like cons too) . I just finshed watching this drama and honestly i liked it alot. From story to the acting everything is good.

I see some people are criticising it cause of Joy's acting but honestly her acting wasnt that bad like it wasnt extraordinary but also not bad bad and when it comes to other actors, i mean what are yall are saying? All the other actors nailed it especially dohwan like his crying scenes shooked me and this is coming from someone who hates crying scenes.

Okay so the story cons first, ahh ngl the story had some plotholes and in the beginning it was kinda rushed and disappointing cause for me atleast, i wanted the first main lead female to play hard to get but instead after 2 whopping scenes she was totally into him and same for the first main lead male like dude you are THE gread seducer, you have broken many girls heart but after two scenes you like the girl like what? Agh this is my way of saying more angst. Anyways the story wasnt bad cause i really liked it, ngl it was cliche. Also the second main lead female, two words ANNOYING BRAT like God she was so sjsjsjsjssj. The second main lead male was a pushover ngl. Okay so positive things, i liked the story between the first main leads and especially the male, he was so loving sweet and Ajsjsjsjsjsjs i loved it. (Thats literally it i am sorry but i lived for their story and everyone else didnt really mattered to me lmao hahahahahahah)

Music was good but I hated that annoying BGM that came in every happy scene like stfu.

Overall, it was a good drama, better than what i have seen before lmao. The story, actors and etc, everthing was good. Also yes i agree that the intro and the poster are misleading. They be like dark, mysterious and sexy but in reality the drama isnt even that dark, mysterious and sexy, i mean its not happy to go one but its not that deep too.

ANYWAYS THIS IS MY USELESS REVIEW HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I HOPE YOU FIND IT HELPFUL

A little note : I came into the drama mixing up the two main leads so for the first episode i thought soo ji and tae hee were the same . maybe that's why i wasn't so attached to tae hee .

story : the story started off completely strong like other mentioned, and could've been a hit. it really could've but then it went downhill after episode 2 or 3. from then it was mediocre and borderline trash. i found it borderline trash because in some ways the story was entertaining. i really enjoyed the trio at first, they had great chemistry. i do wish that the writers focused on making it about their bets, and just showcased their friendship more that way it would've hurted even more when their friendship was ruined. the main reason why i continued watching was to see how soo ji ended up and what their friendship turned out like. from episode 28 and onward it was better, much better. the story was better. some of the characters were completely not needed. i actually ended up skipping a majority of the drama because the side stories were boring and i just didn't like the chemistry between tae hee and shi hyun. honestly it's partly because they fall in love so fast and break up way too many times and i just felt like it was rushed.

the ending was rushed but i liked it? but it was still not the best it should've been. the writers could've done so much better with this. not to mention it's completely different from the french novel about it but it's okay. i think that it would've done so much better had it been focused on their friendship, betting, more dark themes, and the drama of the rich people. they should've used the bet as a small thing and made it completely different. if they focused on how their parent's actions and personalities affected them i do think this drama could've been so much better. but

actors: a lot of people had mixed reactions towards the acting and on the most part i liked the majority of the main actors.

i really really loved ga young's performance of soo ji. it was spot on, you would hate her but still have sympathy for her. to be fair i cried during the ending episodes for her and what she became like. her acting is no joke i'll be checking out her future work.

next min jae, he was good. he was mysterious and lonely. we really didn't know much about him but we did know how lonely he was although he had on smiles for the majority. i really felt his pain when he would cry.

woo do hwan, i don't really have anything to say about his. i did like his charism at the beginning of the drama, he conveyed his emotions quite well. to me it didn't stand out to how much ga young's acting stand out but it was just eh. good but didn't really move me as well as it did with the two others. but honestly with the writing, he did the best he could work with.

joy, she's one of the reasons why i decided to watch this . originally i got joy and ga young confused so i skimmed through some of episode one and two thinking they were the same people. honestly her acting's mediocre, it's not trash but it's not on the level of the other main actors. i do think that had they chosen a stronger actor, it would be able to save this show a bit more.

music : really loved the bgm when soo ji would cry about her onesided love. the one about confessing love first. i loved the orchestra music in the bg that helped set the mood. overall it was good.

rewatch: im not one who rewatches shows unless they're ones i really really love but i gave this a five because there were certain episodes i rewatched such as episode one, episode 30, and 31 because they were just amazing. but i wouldn't rewatch this series, it was a pain to watch in the beginning.

Stupidity is the only word that can sum up this drama. I enjoyed Joy's acting and thought it was completely fine. The chemistry between Woo Do-Hwan wasn't the greatest, but it was watchable. There were so many breakups and reunions that it felt like a joke at some point. The female second lead is a classic example of a manipulative pretty-faced bitch. The male second lead was a let down at points too.. Everyone was so corrupted in this drama other than our female lead. I still did get a decent cry out though for the emotional scenes.

A simple review from my side

Tempted is a drama that pulls you in with its aesthetic and intense emotions, especially if you enjoy darker, more complex romance stories. The visuals are stunning, the soundtrack is hauntingly beautiful, and the main leads definitely have chemistry—particularly Woo Do-hwan and Joy. Their dynamic is filled with tension, charm, and vulnerability.

The story, inspired by the classic novel Dangerous Liaisons, starts off with a lot of intrigue. A group of rich, reckless young adults playing dangerous emotional games sounds like the perfect recipe for drama—and for a while, it works. The first half is full of temptation, manipulation, and mystery, and it keeps you wanting more.

However, as the series goes on, the plot becomes a bit inconsistent. Some characters feel underdeveloped or their motivations unclear. The pacing slows down, and the emotional weight that was built in the beginning doesn't always land as strongly later on. At times, it feels like the drama tried to go very deep but lost its direction midway.

That said, the acting—especially by Woo Do-hwan—is a highlight. He portrayed his character's emotional conflict really well. Joy also did a decent job as a more innocent but strong-willed lead, even if her character could have been written with more depth.

Final Thoughts:
Tempted is stylish, dramatic, and emotionally intense. It's not a perfect drama, but if you're into angsty love stories with a luxurious vibe and don't mind some flaws in the writing, it's worth watching. Just go in for the experience, not expecting a masterpiece, and you might still enjoy the ride.

Okay, so this obviously wasn't as great as I had anticipated it to be which is probably why I nearly dropped it. The character development was just right off the bat, terrible. So, let's start off with everything WRONG with the character developments of the main characters.

Eun Tae Hee - In the beginning, she was supposedly a girl who was basically allergic to guys. She didn't have crushes, she rejected those who wanted her, and she straight up didn't believe in love. To avoid spoilers, lets just say this part of her character is completely shattered wayyyy too soon.......

Kwon Shi-Hyun - For someone who was a "seducer", he didn't do much "seducing" nor did he seduce that many women after like 1 episode.........

this was the type of drama that had so many avoidable outcomes but, since there are so many stubborn characters, and unneeded occurrences, we end up with the ending we have smh. It’s good but it’s couldve been SOOO much better if the writer wrote it a little less predictable and made the characters a little more likable. I do recommend checking it out though because to someone else, it may end up being one of their favorites.

(I have nothing else to write but I need 500 characters for some reason...)

Due to an attractive cast and some background research on the story it was based off of (Les Liaisons Dangereuses), "The Great Seducer" started out very intriguing but ultimately ended like many other Korean dramas.

Is it worth getting into? Nah.
Did I enjoy watching it? Somewhat.

Below is what led to my disappointment as well as what kept me watching until the last episode:

Story: The first few episodes oozed mystery, drama, and sex appeal, lead me to think that this was gonna be a heavy drama. I was excited to be watching something different from the usual light-hearted, cookie cutter "romance" dramas. However, the story line and weight of the issues/conflicts eventually trickled into the usual flat, stereotypical plot lines many K-drama viewer would be used to.

I really think the plot/director/screenplay is what ruined this drama. It seemed to attempt to build viewers up to some climax, but there was consistently no big shocker moment nor anything that glued together the pieces the previous episodes had laid out (just a heads up if you plan on watching and keep on expecting "the moment".)

The actors and actresses did their best with the script and characters they were given, but they're ultimately left powerless if the story itself can't come together.

Actors/Actresses (4):
1) Woo Do-Hwan: A new addition to my list of great actors that can carry a drama even if it was in tatters. He was so natural
2) Joy: She's definitely not bad, and she's improved a lot since "The Liar and His Lover," but there were moments her acting was just making me skip parts of the drama.
3) Moon Gayoung: She's a good actress, and portrayed the damaged mean girl very well. I liked her till the end and was only annoyed at parts where they dragged on her scenes, but again, that's due to the directing and story itself.
4) Kim Minjae: HONESTLY, MY FAVORITE. I'd last seen him in Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim (2016), and he seemed very young back then as well as didn't have the opportunity to showcase his acting chops due to his role. He wasn't the main character in any way, but whenever he showed up on screen, he made his scene count. His acting felt seamless for this role.

Overall, not too many regrets watching this drama, because I wanted to see how the actors and actresses delivered until the very end, and I'm glad I discovered Woo Do-Hwan as well as got a second look at Kim Minjae.

I would have told my future self to not waste time watching this drama though. If you decide to watch it, you may enjoy it for the first few episodes and eventually reach the plateau/disappointment I was talking about.

AMAZINGLY ADDICTING

Bravo to the Cast, Bravo to the director(s), writer(s) and producer(s)

ML- addicting
FL- addicting

Like, this movie had us all upset, happy , annoyed , nervous, crying, shouting, throwing things at the screen. The ending though... like I loved it sooo sooo sooo much. I felt like I grew up with the story. The story line had something that everyone could related to. I wanted more but knew it was the end of their journey. Thank you my storms

The Great Seducer was a drama that didn't really match the title. I was curious as to how this seducing part was going to work out considering the fact that they were 3 friends who just graduated from high school. I can say that's what drew me in.

Story:
I have to say that the first few episodes were really interesting not to say the least. It seemed as if this drama was going to have a really intense story line. The family part also looked promising. However, as the story progressed, it was as if the plot had changed. No one was seducing anyone and the 'family issue' plot was just falling apart. Because I'm a sucker for romance, I really loved the part where Tae Hee and Si Hyun were together. Side note: it would have been nice if they had explained a bit more about the supermodel who Si Hyun seduced.

Acting/Cast:
I always see a lot of people complain when an idol stars in a drama but I believe Joy did a good job portraying her character: a strong-willed yet fragile woman in her 20s. I personally believe Si Hyun was my favourite character to watch considering the fact that he had the most character development (I'll definitely check out more dramas with Woo Do Hwan in them + his eyes were really charming). I found Soo Ji's and Se Joo's characters very interesting at first but afterwards it was just boring to see the push and pull between them and I was just so confused about their relationship. One thing I have to say is that I found Kyung Ju very awkward to watch. I don't know if that's just the way Jung Da Ham acts or if it was her character but it was uncomfortable to watch.

Music:
Not much to comment on the music other than to say it fit the concept of the drama. Personally no song stood out to me.

Rewatch value:
I don't think I would rewatch this drama other than the romance parts. I definitely take episode 17 to my heart because it was just so sweet (I've actually rewatched that episode a couple of times already).

Overall, I don't think it's a bad drama. It was entertaining to watch.

Misleading title but amazing chemistry

I really enjoyed the start of this drama, the chemistry between the three friends and their background and family stories. In my opinion this show had such a huge potential that has been completely wasted on the lovestory of the main couple. The plot itself focused on the wrong things and up to now I do not understand how this car accident had such a great impact (she didn't die so come on don't be so overdramatic!). Also I sometimes had a hard time to understand the feelings of the characters because it seemed like they wanted to make this story super dramatic but failed to explain why it was so dramatic and desperate since they ignored the background stories. The ending was so typical for such a drama but I was glad how it ended for soo ji and se joo. But yeah overall the plot was quite a mess.
The acting was great if you ask me, even though Joy could improve a bit ;) I actually watched this drama because I loved Moon Ga Young in True Beauty and she did not disappoint at all! She is amazing!
As mentioned I think they could have done more with this, but I still enjoyed this drama because I really cared about the friendship.

An okay drama

LIKE

Past entanglement between Young Won, Suk Woo and Mi Ri

Feel like the misunderstandings between Shi Hyun and Tae Hee was quite brief and not in depth. Not painful enough to create an impact.
