Kazoku no Tabiji Episode 4

Asari Yusuke tells Yoichiro Sawada that Yanase is not guilty. After visiting Kofu, his strong belief about Yanase’s innocence is made for certain when Yanase’s friends from 30 years ago describe of his nice character and his true love for his only son. Meanwhile, when Yusuke approaches Yanase for an interview appointment, this is declined. It seems that his decision of not opting for a retrial has been made up. In the world of modern law, getting a retrial for a prisoner on death row is considered virtually impossible. Moreover, without the support of Yanase himself, this is for certain.
