Jiang Wu Spit's blood. Flash back to the history of how Jiang Wu came to be so powerful and what his connection is to Qian Xian. Zhao Yao still holding Li ChenLan, asks Zhi Yan to take them all back to Wan Lu sect, using her sword tranportation technique. This fails. Li ChenLan reaches out to strangle Zhi Yan, while having bad dreams. The two end up having to walk while supporting Li ChenLan's weight, the rest of the way to Wan Lu sect. Zhi Yan is scolded and threatened by the Captain, for causing Li ChenLan to fall into this state. Invisible Zhao Yao goes to check on Li ChenLan's condition. She hears Li ChenLan say "... this is the 1st time I am grateful to have a long life. I was able to wait and live to see today." She wonders if before today, he did not want a long life? South Hill leader ask him about the dark energy in his body, and continues to try to get Li ChenLan to take his condition seriously. Li ChenLan, despite the pain, just keeps looking at the hand that held Zhao Yao's hand earlier, while smiling. Gossip spreads about Li ChenLan taking down the Demon shield by himself. Deacon Chi arranges to move the golden casket to Phoenix mountain, while saying they only have 3 more days. Qian Xian and some disciples of the Thousand Dust Pavilion do their thing. Deacon Chi meets with North Hill leader, with a plan to grab Zhi Yan and kill Li ChenLan. He tells North Hill leader, that he must get "both" Zhi Yans. North Hill leader, planning to use the Captain as a pawn in his plan, tells her that there are two Zhi Yan's, in Cleanse Dust Pavilion. Zhi Yan and Zhao Yao have a heart to heart. Zhi Yan is disappointed in herself for not cherishing her father or CangLing when they were still around. Zhi Yan can tell that Li ChenLan treats Zhao Yao differently and believes his feelings for her are sincere. She tells Zhao Yao she must promise her to start cherishing Li ChenLan. Zhao Yao thinks of Li ChenLan protecting her.
