Zhao Yao rescues Zhi Yan, from guards, before they were able to lift her veil, in wan Lu sect. The following day, she goes into the forbidden area to enter the land of rest again. In the land of rest, Zhao Yao obtains a "test" pill. After returning from the Land of Rest, Li Chenlan who sensed someone in the hidden area, attacks her. She is once again able to talk her way out, by telling him that Zhao Yao forced her to come into the forbidden area. She said she had come to her dreams, to make her to do good deeds in Zhao Yao's name. Later the pill took effect. She has become invisible. She uses this opportunity to try to kill Li Chenlan, but the sword protects him and she ends up retreating. Li Chenlan goes to Zhi Yan's room and finds her tied up, in bed. Her explanation makes no sense. He asks Ah Da to watch her and report anything unusual. Zhao Yao agrees to allow Zhi Yan to go out, but tells her she must learn mix in.
