The case is that I DO love romantic comedies and, maybe it's because I haven't watched that many kdramas and the cliches don't bother me that much, but I really enjoyed this.
It was fun, fluffy, cheesy, full of cliches and way over the top and I loved every single minute of it. The plot is really light and simple (even though they try to throw some "mystery" plot that isn't that mysterious), the acting is great, the chemistry between Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young is amazing (I love the bickering between their characters) and the whole cast have great comedic timing (Kang Ki Young really shines in that aspect).
As I said, I enjoyed it a lot and I had a smile on my face through the whole drama and I value that.
If you want to have a good time, enjoy some romance, laugh a little and not think too much: this is your drama. If you're looking for something that's not that... maybe look elsewhere.

Maybe I'm a bit generous with the 10-star rating, but I loved this from the beginning to the end. I'm a huge fan of rom-coms and good stories, and even though the plot of this series is not that unique, I think the characters and the side stories made this drama so much more enjoyable. The story was also fast paced, just like in the original manhwa. Some parts were cheesy and predictable, but made the drama very cutesy and even more delightful. I gotta give it to the actors because without them this show wouldn't be the same. Just like in every drama that he stars in, Park Seo Joon steals the spotlight with his brilliant acting and overflowing handsomeness. Even Park Min Young was the star of this drama - such a beautiful actress, this was THE BEST ROLE for her to play. There were just so many brilliant scenes that I could rewatch again and again. I relive this drama by listening to the OST as well - the songs are mesmerizing and really catchy.
I'm extremely happy that I decided to watch this drama and I'm sure that you'll feel the same after completing it. I might just have to read the original comic book now too because I still can't get over it!

sweet Rom com
going with with the genre this drama is completely sweet and smooth.both ceo and his secretary characters are dealt with detailed flow.
like any other rom com drama major story ends with 12 episodes and gets streched till 16 episodes but the chemistry and setting will allow u to enjoy the drama till the end.
production value lead couple chemistry and ost are major highlights of this drama.
there is few lags in some episodes but u will not care about them if u know about genre setting so if u want to watch a light drama with romance and comedy with emotions in flow this drama will reach ur expectations.

Rather than watching this for plot/character development/etc, I would suggest watching this with just a light heart -- enjoy the comedic and lovely moments between the characters, laugh at how extremely cringey some of the lines are, enjoy the great acting that Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young put on, look at all the pretty clothes PMY wears, and just smile!
The perfect drama for the summer!

Park Seo Joon + Park Min Young = DA BOMB!
As a newbie in K-drama world and often asked for a suggestions from my friends before deciding which to watch, What's Wrong With Secretary Kim is the one a lot of my friends suggested me to watch. They said #WWWSK is very good because it has PSJ and PMY as the main casts and the storyline is simple but touching. After done watching, I have to agree to my friends because the combination of PSJ and PMY is seriously a bomb! I can see that both PSJ and PMY's actings are superb! I have no question why every year they're always on tv. They're just that good! Hats off!
The storyline is very simple, I can tell that I can guess what will happen within the drama just from its title. #WWWSK serves us the love story between a cold, evil on the outside but angel on the inside and self-made CEO who is having a traumatic and hard time in his past with his innocent, nothing to lose and very pretty secretary. They have been working together for years until they finally develop a feeling toward each other.
You guys can guess the ending right? Happy ending is on our plates. Yay!

this is a super fun drama....
What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim is a romantic comedy about the narcissistic vice president (Park Seo Joon) of a large corporation who learns his long time devoted secretary (Park Min Young) of nine years is going to quit her job.Park Seo Joon plays Lee Young Joon who is the vice president of his family’s company. He’s very narcissistic and doesn’t miss an opportunity to give himself some praise. Things are going along just fine for him until his world is completely turned upside down when his secretary decides to quit.
Park Min Young is his devoted secretary Kim Mi So. She is amazing at her job and is always ready and waiting to meet Young Joon’s needs. That is until she decides she wants a change and gives him her resignation.
What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim seems like it has been everyone’s favorite drama over the past few months. It brought in all kinds of nice ratings and was also a hit with international fans. The love for the drama was evident.
Now I didn’t fall head over heels for the drama like so many did, but I still liked it. It had a few issues for me, but overall I found it pretty enjoyable. First, onto what there is to love!
Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young are quite a treat as a couple. Their pluses are many and include a wonderful rapport between the pair. Their snappy bickering was humorous as was their awkwardness in navigating the change in their relationship.
I think many people will also enjoy Young Joon’s character. At first, he seems like your typical arrogant rich chaebol, but he has some quirks that help with that. He is so narcissistic in an over the top way that makes him immediately humorous. And he’s actually got a pretty pleasant personality that is easy to warm up to. If you don’t like those typical jerk leads who need a lesson in learning how to behave, Young Joon is a great alternative.
There are some hilarious supporting characters. This is a drama where these characters add so much humor and don’t just feel like filler. You get to know these people at the office and enjoy their interactions, troubles, and romances.
Then we had a pretty interesting tonal shift around the middle of the drama. We have a little mystery to slowly peel back concerning Young Joon and Mi So’s childhoods. The plot thickens as we learn more back story and have some difficult issues for our characters to deal with. So that added a nice layer to the plot that I really appreciated.
So despite the issues for me, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim was a mostly fun watch. It checks the right boxes for a solid romantic comedy. We have a lovely couple at the center of the story, a little something extra to add to the plot, and a nice cast of supporting characters. All in all, there’s a lot to enjoy, especially for romantic comedy fans.

Hilarious
I actually loved this drama a lot, and also suggested it to many friends!I just thought the whole thing was soo funny! - It's quite your average storyline drama, but just the way everything was executed was soo good! - and I was hooked, also made me laugh a lot!
I really like the actor Park Min-Young, and like all her outfits she wore as a secretary was soo nice!
I think the chemistry between the two actors were really good! Between Park Min-Young & Park Seo-Joon!
- I actually also found the other two side stories with Hwang Bo Ra and Kang Hong-Seok really funny, I love how some dramas don't always focus on the main characters, but have like mini side stories, that are random, yet still keeping to the story but like still keeps you watching!

Great potential but disappointing
This had all the ingredients to be a good show but somehow for me failed to land. The premise is good, the arrogant boss who doesn’t realise how much he needs his secretary until it’s too late is a great trope. But in this he never does actually do without her or learn to live without her. She is with him not only all the way till the end she decides to stay being his secretary. I was really rooting for her to do the thing she said she wanted to do and find herself. She clearly had skills to be a proper manager and do things herself not just be his secretary.
There wasn’t enough change or journey for them, for me. He’s still narcissistic and arrogant at the end, making statements about how amazing he is which she STILL weakly smiles at and doesn’t pull him up on or tells him how she really feels about it even when they’re about to be married. She is still calling him Vice Chairman even when they’re not at work and being formal (I get the titles thing is odd from my viewpoint but her manner doesn’t change either).
This also another drama that didn’t need the full 16 episodes because it dragged. I liked kidnapping back story but also feel like his earlier very selfish behaviour didn’t really make much sense if he cared for her that much.
The actors are both great in other dramas so I don’t know why they are so “b-movie” and stiff in this. Park Min-Young especially is really not giving her character life, her smiles seem forced and other emotions are faked. I loved her in Healer so she’s a great actress. They do have decent chemistry but I found myself not really caring very deeply about them.
The side stories were cute with the other office romances and I actually really enjoyed the relationship between Vice Chairman and President and they gave me quite a lot of laugh out loud moments.
The author brother felt very 2D and there to serve a plot point but not very flashed out. Again not sure if it’s the script or the actor.
Overall, especially given how liked this is, this was a major disappointment for me!

It is a great drama for when you want to watch something fun
The drama's plot is very easy to digest and the interpretation from the cast members make this drama very fun to watch. I finished it in about a week beacuse I was loving it so much. I would def recommend watching it!!! Also, the ML and FL are both very attractive and there are a couple of spicy scenes which are not very much frequently seen among the drama community. AHHH I almost forgot to mention that my favorite scenes were the jealousy ones. I believe the ending granted me closure (which is rare because most dramas I like end with an open ending) and OOO WATCH THIS NOWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Was this review helpful to you?
I like that the male lead already knows he likes her early on in the show, since many other dramas make it take forever for any real progress. And she subconsciously has feelings for him too. And one thing I like about the ML's character is instead of him being a cold prick (like many other dramas) he is just narcissistic and arrogant lol. And he has a nice side to him too.
But man I ship the couple so much
- so fluffy!!!!!
- several kiss scenes!!! all amazing
- happy ending!!! (and Lee Young Joon's line when talking about where they will travel to “who cares where we go, we’ll never leave our room anyway” omgggggg)
- Lee Yeong-jun’s several cute jealous scenes (and she gets jealous too aww)
- They never suffer through any unnecessary angst!!! Cuteness throughout the majority of the show??
- Yeah, just the fact that they are the focus of the show, like that is the story - their relationship
- The parents approve of her well before they even start dating (even hinting to her to get together!!) aka. the mum of the rich CEO approves of his girlfriend?? Unheard of in the land of kdramas
- He was in love with her ever since he saw her again?? Secretly loved her for 9 years of being her boss, and never let any of his ‘girlfriends’ touch him, ever. Only her
- I just, they treat each other so well??? They are goals in every way
I just loved the overall style of the show. The cute little background noises, the colours, the fashion, and the laid-backness of it all. And all the side ships are so cute too!! I love Lee Yeong-jun’s friend President Park, aka his relationship counsellor lmao. He had some great lines
Overall, the characters were so enjoyable and although they were predictable, they were still funny and likeable.
All in all, for a cute rom com, this show wins all the awards

Park Min-Young is great actress I think this is my first time to watch her in a romcom usually I see her in action dramas. She's definitely the best for this character.
