Zhang Xiao Jing is about to chase Cao Poyan when Cui Qi discloses Li Bi's true motive to him. Li Bi creates a diversion to lead the others away, leaving only Zhang Xiao Jing behind. He tells Zhang Xiao Jing that he wants to be the nation's Grand Chancellor. Li Bi tells Zhang Xiao Jing that while he cannot lift the death sentence, he can allow him to work as a mercenary lieutenant for one more day. Li Bi reports to his superior He Zhi Zheng about Zhang Xiao Jing's, and through a chance encounter he finds out that the Emperor wants to hand over power to Counsellor Lin Jiu Lang. (Source: IMDb)

This episode is all about high quality details and tension building. The camera work combined with action scenes is flawless. This is a truly great drama.
