The Untamed Episode 43

Wei WuXian continues to speculate about Jin GuangYao's schemes but Lan XiChen still finds it hard to believe. After, Lan WangJi goes to see Lan QiRen so Lan XiChen brings Wei WuXian back to the Quiet Room. There, the latter asks about Lan WangJi's scars and Lan XiChen explains. When Wei WuXian died that year, Lan WangJi disobeyed the Lan Sect in order to protect Wei WuXian's cave. As a result, he received severe punishment and went into seclusion for those three years. Lan XiChen then tells him the story of their parents and Lan WangJi's stubbornness towards the people he care about. Lan WangJi then returns with Emperor's Smile and lets Wei WuXian enjoy wine in the room. At the table, they start to discuss about a second flute sound that was heard during both battles at QiongQi Way and Nightless City. While Lan WangJi determines that it is Jin GuangYao's doing, Wei WuXian is now indifferent to that truth. Unknown days later, Lan WangJi and Wei WuXian hide in Lan XiChen's room to eavesdrop on Jin GuangYao who has came over to discuss things with Lan XiChen. He first proposes to allow the search for Wei WuXian and Lan WangJi in the Cloud Recesses. He also explains that there is a sudden rise of puppets in the Burial Mounds and suspects that Wei WuXian is causing it. Hence, he invites Lan XiChen to attend the meeting at the Carp Tower. After Lan XiChen sends Jin GuangYao off, he instructs Lan WangJi and Wei WuXian to check things out in the Burial Mound. Thus the two begin their journey. On the way, Wei WuXian plays some songs on his flute and asks Lan WangJi for the name of the piece that he had played for him back in XuanWu Cave.
