Wei WuXian continues to expose Su She and the latter has no way to counter that. Defeated, he uses the teleportation talisman, revealing his identity as the masked man from Yi City. The puppets start to break into the cave and Wen Ning, Lan SiZhui and Jin Ling go out to fight them. Wei WuXian then uses himself to lure the puppets to him and allow the others to escape. With Lan WangJi at his side to slash the puppets coming their way, the two and Wen Ning manage to kill all the puppets. While waiting for the boats to set off to YunMeng, the junior disciples stay on the pier for Lan SiZhui to rest from being motion-sick. OuYang ZiZhen comes over, curious about why a GuSu-born Lan SiZhui will fall victim to boats; but Lan SiZhui does not know either. Suddenly, Wen Ning comes up to Lan SiZhui to ask for his name and upbringing as he is reminded of Wen Yuan. Despite OuYang ZiZhen's concern for Lan SiZhui, the latter answers earnestly. Lan SiZhui is also left conflicted when he faintly remembers paper toy butterflies from his childhood. However, as Wen Ning wants to caress Lan SiZhui's face, Jin Ling unsheathes his sword at him. A small fight breaks out between the disciples, catching the attention of everyone. Jin Ling is told to put away his sword but he refuses and cries as the sword once belonged to his father. The fight is then resolved when their guardians call them back. At the entrance of Lotus Pier, Wen Ning is denied entry and Lan SiZhui opts to keep him company. Inside, Jiang Cheng receives two ladies who wishes to speak with him. He then brings them into the main hall so they can share their stories with everyone present. The first lady, Si Si, shares about how Jin GuangYao hired a group of prostitutes to provide their services to Jin GuangShan, resulting in his death.
