Watched this because of Lanwangji
This drama is bare able only because of Lan Wangji. The effect was so awful. Totally low budget drama. Skipped all scenes without Lan Zhan, to be honest. The first scene when he walked down the mountain was so memorable, angelic and ethereal.The soundtracks were good. Prefer the story of Heaven Official Blessings.

breathtaking
gateway drug to dramas, i was quaking from the first episode, watching this show is a canon event and cannot be interrupted. this is also how i got my mom into dramas, during quarantine. we never looked back. the acting is physically arresting, the musical score is poetry, you cannot ask for anything more.Was this review helpful to you?
One of the best shows of all time
The pacing, tension, acting, music, character development, everything is on point here. Even with chinese censorship they were able to pull this off and that's an art. I would reccomend this to everyone. It felt like Game of Thrones but in ancient China. I'm waiting for the rest of this author's novels to be adapted to tv shows and let's all hope they won't be made worse than this one.Was this review helpful to you?
Why is it so underrated??
This show is a masterpiece. I never write any reviews but there are things that deserve some love and this is one of them. It has everything you could ever want - amazing plot, fenomenal acting, insanely good music (I am singing the opening ever since I finished watching this series, no joke), very well written character development and the relationship of the main characters couldn't get any better. THE BEST DRAMA!
I have to watch this again all the way through with no stops. The ending is OMG fearsome! Sean Xiao, I love this actor already. He can sing! His smile makes me smile! He is acting skills wow, what can I say? I'm very impressed by this actor. I have to see more of him. I'm trying to get that 10th Favorite Actor in... but it is definitely hard at this time and confusing. I have come across some really good actors who have great chemistry with their characters and cameras'. Wang Yi Bo is true to this character, I will also have to check him out and see what his personality is really like, I love his name. This actor is not just an actor, he sings, and hip-hop dances... he knows. I hope Sean Xiao and Wang Yi Bo remain friends after this. The actor Yu Bing unbelievable actor. The storyline.... is unbelievable! The Visual effects are absolutely amazing! The music fit this Drama with passion, excitement, and more. The rest of the cast also did an amazing job. Non esiste drama più bello!
Qua lo dico e non lo nego, mai visto niente di più bello, emozionante e potente. È la storia più meravigliosa che io abbia mai visto, mi ha fatto piangere come una fontana. È stato anche alla bravura e la capacitá di Xiao Zhan è Wang Yibo che me ne sono innamorata, hanno dato vita a due personaggi meravigliosi. Sono arrivata al 50esimo episodio pensando “non può finire questa storia, ho bisogno di altri episodi”. Per quanto mi riguarda migliore storia d’amore di tutti i drama mai visti, il cast eccezionale, la colonna sonora è uno spettacolo come anche tutte le canzoni che circolando questo drama. bad cinematography
plot had potential but the cinenmatogrpahy was so badi’m reading the novel now
i’m a big fan of reading manhua/manga/manhwa/light novels/danmeis and just that stuff in general so that is why i was interested in watching the untamed. the positive reviews also made the story seem appealing.
in addition, there were a bunch of high profile actors starring in the drama so i was expecting something incredible. nothing could have prepared me for how bad the cinematography and editing was.
at first, i thought it would only be for the first few episodes and then i thought that maybe i jsut had high expectations considering i had recently finished watching my journey to you (had fantastic cinematography).
however, after talking about it to my friend who also tried watching it, i concluded that the cinematography was jsut bad. i do hope that i can finish watching it one day but if the cinematography remains the same throughout the entirety of the drama, then i would just have to leave it unfinished.

Word of Honor better IMO
To say Lan Zhan was such a boring character is such an understatement. Lucky enough the character Wei Wuxian more than made up for it. Even the villains were good. On further thought Lan Zhan’s brother was always boring. I did read the novel after watching the series and I must admit that Wang Yibo portrayed that character to perfection but I didn’t like the character in the series and that was due to censorship. Because the parts the character came to life couldn’t be shown due to censorship. Overall the series was good.Was this review helpful to you?

I love all the elements in this drama! From the captivating storyline to the beautiful cinematography and the well-developed characters, everything comes together to create an engaging experience. The emotional depth and the intricate relationships really draw me in, especially when all the mysteries are revealed, showcasing the sacrifices made by the male lead.

The songs are amazing and the relationship of the characters is very well done. The actors, especially the main ones, do everything even better.
Especially Xian Zhan who deserves a lot of recognition for having made such an amazing character and dedicated so much to it, the acting was wonderful!
I highly recommend it! I will probably rewatch the drama many times, ha!
