An engaging film
Loosely based on South Korea's first trial Jury, this court room drama is a true story & a light yet surprisingly engaging watch.Park Hyung Sik as Juror 8 was extremely convincing. The story is quite remarkably paced for a movie, the law & Jury issues are highlighted with immense care.

Hyung Sik is a charmer & as Juror number 8 he will steal your heart & save the day for justice too.

Charming
Really wasn't sure what vibe the movie was going to give off going in but was pleasantly surprised at the layer of light-heartedness that topped off a serious case. It did a great job with highlighting the concept of "beyond a reasonable doubt" and keeping the human aspect of jurors. Jurors from different backgrounds, those who are anxious to get to a resolution because of the time it's taking out of their own responsibilities, and a judge with good intentions but has also become more methodical from years of experience. For only less than two-hour session, it was well-paced and well-rounded.

It takes only one
Juror 8 was a fantastic film. An independent thinking Park Hyung Sik to go hand in hand with a dazzling main cast, filled with kdramas best supporting actors and actresses. This is a movie based on Korea's first jury case in 2008. It shows the process that happens. As they meet, decide the verdict, question, and find answers. The music goes well with the film. The acting and camera shots are wonderful.
It's my first Korean film in quite a while, and it did not disappoint. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a movie that is fun, serious, shocking, exhilarating, and overall satisfying. Just saying the trailer got me interested. Here's hoping this helps you make a decision.

Don't pass up this movie!
This was an excellent movie! Think "12 Angry Men". I'm not used to seeing Park Hyung Sik as a timid person. He, and the rest of the cast members, did an excellent job. This movie is about a juror that takes being on a jury very seriously.Even though everyone else initially just wants to quickly submit a verdict so that they can go home, Park Hyung Sik's character wants to ensure that justice prevails. They upon listening to his thoughts, the other jurors finally decide to take their job seriously and ensure that they bring back the correct verdict for the man on trial. This movie was full of suppositions, partial evidence and twists and turns. I got emotional watching this, I became so invested in the jurors and their quest for justice.
