A seething Princess Ya vows to someday kill Yi Ren and Hao Lan, with a happy Prince Jiao by her side. Due to the ongoing stalemate between Zhao and Qin, the Emperor instates Zhao Kuo to replace General Lian Po. However, when the Zhao army led by Zhao Kuo attack, the Qin army suddenly reveals a surprise tactic. Fearing for Zhao state, Hao Lan blames Yi Ren.
