This drama sends a good message about beauty…

This drama sends a good message about beauty and consequences. The female lead thinks plastic surgery will give her a perfect life, but it brings family tension and new struggles. Every gain has a cost. The male lead is kind of a tsundere, and both leads have quiet personalities. The female lead acts awkward around him. Their romance is a slow burn, and they start dating about two or three episodes before the end (I’m not sure exactly which episode).

9.0/10 - I love a solid ending!

"Who cares? Do everything you want to do."

So I had to go back and rewatch the kiss scene again just to make sure they really had a good one! It picks up weak and all the flashbacks were the tame kiss. I guess it's not good form to flashback to the good kissing! Ha-ha! It was all made up for with Kyung Suk meeting Mi Rae's parents through video chat! I loved the whole thing and that her dad get sober enough to tell Kyung Suk that there are surveillance cameras all over the house!!!!!!

It's also an interesting twist that other people can see that Kyung Suk is more in love and that he's worried someone will take Mi Rae away from him. Though I thought it was really cute his name tag was "I'm Taken". I want to know who's idea that was! At the end of the epiosde I enjoyed Kyung Suk's frank talk about his future plans and that while they're young. At least for now it's forever. It's a sweet and hopeful feeling.

This episode did a fabulous job balancing out all the characters and giving viewers an ending. For everyone. Though I was super disappointed that Woo Young and Hyun Jung just got like these "tease ending" that they might end up together. Also, that Eun became such a pivotal character, but we really don't get to know her. We finally have discovered the real Soo Ah and it's sweet that despite everything Eun wants to help her. I would have loved to know what in her life made her such a wonderful person to offer help.

Really this is the best closure episode I have ever seen. Besides my complaints above we know where everything stands and that there is still more journey ahead.

The only reason this wasn't a perfect ending for me was the acid throwing fake out. I'm not sure about everywhere, but here there's been a rash of men throwing acid onto women. Mainly their faces. Husbands, exes, and stalkers. It's scary. So I truly thought it had happened, only to find out it was water. It was scary and it . . . kind of made it's point. It just felt off.

The true power of this episode is in the quote form above. Where Mi Rae realizes people don't really care about her as much as she thinks, and everyone has their issues/worries. It's up to you to live how you want and enjoy life. She's new and old face Mi Rae have met to make a beautiful person. Much like Eun said, "People made your scars, and other people can help you heal them".

For one rare occasion I am completely happy with this final episode for such a fantastic drama! The ratings are high, but I still feel like this is a sleeper drama that more people need to try!

Frustrated

All in all it was a great Finale, but I was frustrated that we had to give SooAh so much screen time. I had absolutely no emotional stake in her and her redemption. I think that her arc pushed it too far in the last 2 episode and robbed us of a lot of potential cute moments between the leads or with the parents.
