The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion

They are both verry gore and have a strong female lead. They both are centered around a big organization that locked up kids, looking for the one who escaped . They are somewhat the same show with one where the girl escaped with her friends and formed a family and the other escaped alone and fighting with herself. I really think they could be in the same universe.

Both main characters kill villains mercilessly, but the witch is science-fiction based and a more structured plot.

Both feature:
- young female leads who are trying to survive against enemies who are trying to kill them
-dark killer themes
-kick ass female action
-strong female empowerment

The stories are completely different, but the message/theme is somewhat similar

There is not much to say why they are similar, more where they are different.

It feels like Revenge Girl is a Chinese remake with a sprinkle of dystopian future on top, and more wuxia style of fights with less dead bodies than in 'The Witch'

These two are excellent sci-fi supernatural features with high octane fighting scenes. Good special FX, CGI or whatnot. Excellent music/soundtrack.

Similar vibe, plot line, even character relationships. Both deal with inhumanly strong female main characters (gene manipulated) on a journey of discovering the past/truth.
