Afraid that Yinsi (8th Prince) will meet a horrible fate, Ruoxi forces Yinsi (8th Prince) to choose between his ambition and her love. Ruoxi does so with knowledge of the future, knowing that Yinsi (8th Prince) will die in prison after Yin Zhen (4th Prince) seizes the throne after Kangxi's death. However, Ruoxi does not know if her actions then could change history. She and Yinsi (8th Prince) do not meet each other for days until they return to the capital.
