Yin Zhen (4th Prince) became the new Emperor of China right after his father's death. All the other princes went into a bitter fight, strongly believing that it is not their late father's will. In fact, the late Emperor had written in his will that the 14th Prince Yinti would ascend the throne after his death. Yin Zhen (4th Prince) then secretly hired officials to alter his father's will, such that it was he who would ascend the throne. Yin Zhen (4th Prince) and Yinti's (14th Prince) mother is suspicious and berates him for plotting against his own brother.

You could never really guess what goes in the mind of the Fourth Prince. I previously thought Bei'le ye was a scary person for his ambition and political manipulations. But compared to the 4th Prince, the 8th Prince is tame and readable whereas the former is unpredictable and covers his actions with layers of deceit and calculated precision.
