Top Star Yoo Baek Episode 7 Reactions
I feel like Kang Soon was a little harsh to Yoo Baek at the hospital. I wonder what happened. Is it over guilt that because she was with him, her grandmother collapsed alone? Because, honestly, even though he'd basically kidnapped her to go to Seoul, it's true that he treated her pretty well and made her life's dream come true, plus he protected her when the reporters all swarmed in. She can't be breaking ties with him just because he got into a fight with Ma Dol.
Wow, Ma Dol was kind of a jerk back in middle (or was it high?) school! Poor Hee Won -- how could she still remember him fondly after what he said to her! Sure he apologized, but he was totally flippant about her emotions.
Aww our poor doctor! The teacher's right that what he did was awful, and it's up to him if he wants to remain unhappy his whole life. But I hope the doctor will try to find her own happiness now, even if it means it's not with the teacher. It sounds like they knew each other even before he married his late wife, so that means they've liked each other for 20+ years! I don't think I could do that. At some point I'd just have to move on with my life lol.
Ahaha I love that kid and his elaborate metaphors with his pig bladder soccer ball and his strangely deep insight XD But also, I'm glad he explained it to me because I was about to be so mad at halmoni on Ma Dol's behalf -- like he carried her to a hospital on the mainland when she fainted! Lol I'm glad she treated him well for that, though I'm not totally sure whether she has an opinion when it comes to Kang Soon's love life.
Thank goodness Ma Dol finally confessed! I wasn't sure whether he was going to go the whole show without confessing! Even though we know whom she'll end up with, I'm glad he got this out in the open. And I hope they can still be super close even after Ma Dol gets over her rejection. I also hope Yoo Baek moves to the island if/when he and Kang Soon get together. He's much happier there, and she has such a lovely life and community there, even if it's not what "typical" Koreans strive for. Oof I'm getting a bit tired of this love triangle (I don't like them in the first place, and this show is no exception. While I like both Ma Dol and Yoo Baek, I don't enjoy them fighting over her and all the angst of rejection or insecurity or jealousy related to the other person. That being said, this job has amongst the better depictions of love triangles I've seen, so I don't hate it as much as I usually do).
