Tears, tears and tears

I loved this episode! It was raw and real, unafraid to tackle big issues. The protagonist was given greater depth in a single episode, given purpose and given a goal. I can't even begin to explain how important that is in a show, to give a character powerful motivation which truly resonates with the audience. It was spectacular in all ways.

Yeo Jin Goo: New Favorite Actor!?

Alas, this is my time to say that I enjoy Yeo Jin Goo's performance in these two episodes that I have seen. Not only does he have the psycho laughter down to the T, but he's done an amazing job in having two roles in one drama. For me, that is very rare to see. I saw the humor of one character and the blooding emptiness of the other, and both feel as if I'm looking at a different person. That is what kept me fascinated on this episode, but it was not all because of it. This episode really brought up tension in his life- learning the severity of the danger of being king, but also beginning to learn how to hone his position for his own agenda. The rage of what happened to his little sister will probably be the tip of the iceberg, but this is a great start. After this episode, I am all strapped in and ready to see how this will unfold.
