It can be compared to " Our times " in the aspects like youth, passion , a life changing incident and love. Even though both of them have a different messages to convey, the cast in both the movies are exceptionally good which makes it worth watching. it was like they lived through the characters , i am damn sure that at least one of the scenes might have made an impression on you on different ways of viewing life. it is just a suggestion of mine.
watch it or not depends on you. a wonderful portrayal of lives awaits you. =)
HAPPY WATCHING!!!

The main characters have suffered trauma and are emotionally and physically damaged. ML doesn't value his own life much and comes across as a tough character at first but later has the softest heart toward the FL. Hopeful ending, despite all the suffering. Also similar tones and city night scenes.

Two souls find each other in the darkest times of their lives, becoming a support, a guiding light, a hope for each other.

The romance is kind of similar. The Ml in both films they both act tough and rebellious, but they really care about the people they love. They both want to be close to people but have a hard time because of things that happened in their past. Both the MLs have to act as if they don't care about the FLs in order to protect them.

Both are about young people fighting about their rights. Both have the same feeling of young people living outside of warm, familiar houses without family. Both talk about love between young people who need and care about eachother, however Better Days isn't BL. Better Days is a movie but with similar beautifull music and nostalgic atmosphere. Both are so heartbreaking.

Both movies have the same male lead (Yi Yang Qian Xi/Jackson Yee), if you want to see more of him and his works, Better Days is a good recommendation. Both movies are heavy/emotional and deal with real life issues (bullying and living with terminal illness).

Both dramas deal around a girl that is bullied by her classmates in a very brutal way. In both dramas there is a guy that helps the girl. While Better Days focuses more on something that happens afterwards and has a more healing approach, Kesenai is about the girl taking her revenge.

Both are about two people who have little to lose and get caught in something bad. The guy appears as a thug and the girl as arrogant.

The plot of the movies aren't that similar, but the mains relationships are both about broken people who need each other. Both movies are beautiful and touching.

Centers on a woman struggling through day to day life until she encounters, and becomes closer to, a man with a rough exterior. Through the bond they form they both begin to open up and enjoy life.

Both are movies about two isolated troubled young people - a rougher but good-hearted guy and a depressed girl - who bond and struggle to overcome the difficulties of their lives. While both have a tragic tone, BD has a much happier ending.

They both have similar concepts such as; the boy being part or associated with gang/ violence. And the girl being the good and shy type. It also has a lot of bullying but it is a 10/10 movie?

Both movies have aspects of bullying. YourName Engraved Herein focuses more on LGBTQ+ struggles. Both movies have a love story between two students who are being ostracized by the cruel society that we live in. Both are sad, poignant and just amazing. Also, I noticed some similarities with the art direction for both films. Great acting, cinematography and dialogue is seen in both films. So go watch both of this critically acclaimed films.
