Sun Im’s condition deteriorates and Gang Hun grows anxious because the clinical trial is at a standstill due to insufficient research funds. The research team is desperate for a large corporate-level donation when suddenly a donation is made. The donor cites Lee Gang Hun as her inspiration for making the donation. When Sun Im’s condition further deteriorates, Gang Hun asks Sang Cheol to authorize the use of the trial drug. Kim Sang Cheol refuses authorization on the grounds that Sun Im is a hepatitis-B carrier. The misunderstanding between Ji Hye and Gang Hun ends up becoming an opportunity for Gang Hun to open up to her. Sun Im disappears, and Hayeong and Gang Hun become very worried. (Source: KOCOWA)
