Ji Hye tells Gang Hun how she feels about him, and he kisses her. However, he continues to remain distant. Desperate to get the assistant professorship at Hyeseong University Hospital, Gang Hun tries to strike a deal with An Dong Seok, the head of the neurosurgery department, but Dong Seok flatly rejects the offers. Jun Seok tries to assert his authority over Gang Hun. Gang Hun returns to Hyeseong to make his case one more time. When Dong Seok collapses in the middle of a surgery, Gang Hun steps in.
