Maybe it's because I've been stuck in the Thai BL world after Chinese Dramas broke my heart about three years ago, but I've been sleeping on these dramas. This one, the title sounded a little weird but someone recommended it for me and I have to say, great rec.

Over the last week or so, I've been catching up on Korean romance dramas and I have to say I'm in heaven. TOUCH YOUR HEART was so good. It had hints of mystery tossed in for a little fun, romance, sensuality--so good.

The female lead - top notch! Loved her personality. Love her spirit, her swag. She was an airhead but it's the kind that is only an airhead when she has to be but not in ever situation. She was light and loving and kind and all the good things.

The male lead - omg. So handsome, and alpha yet sweet - these are the kind of men I usually aim to write. Lee Dong Wook, I am ashamed to say I didn't recognize him until the last five episode. Now, as punishment (lol) I am going to dig to find other dramas with him because I love him. I'm even going to rewatch Goblin.

The character he plays has this air of innocent masculinity to him--you know, the kind of man we all dream of before the toxicity hits. And Lee Dong Wook was perfect in this. The emotions, and the laughter and the friendships!

Let's talk secondary characters for a bit - Love them all. I felt bad for Doo Sub though. He deserved to be happy too. The way that whole story ended for him broke my heart. I wish so much he could get his happy ending too because he's such a sweetheart.

Okay, the music in this was amazing. I know I heard Chen (from Exo) in there. It was romantic and soothing and all the beautiful things!!

There were a few times it dragged a little. But nothing that can't be overlooked.

If you guys know of anymore dramas like this one, send them my way. I will take all the happy endings!

Watch this and if you've seen it already, watch it again! I've been going through writer's block lately and this helped so much more toward being unblocked.

I watched this right after watching Goblin, and I personally find that this drama is the perfect drama to watch after Goblin because I found it very healing, as if this was another one of their lives. I love the leads, their chemistry is amazing, and I think that the actors were well-casted. The plot of the drama is very cute and fluffy, so if you want to watch a drama that will keep you on the edge of your seat, this drama isn't for you. I enjoyed the plot and also how the ending was handled. The OST is very nice as well, and I added some of the songs to my playlist.

TLDR, this is a fluffy and cute drama, and I think that if you want to watch a drama that is healing after Goblin, this is the perfect drama for you to watch.

Disappointing Despite the Promising Cast

I watched it only because I loved their chemistry in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.and honestly, I was quite excited to see Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na together again, this time as the main couple. Their chemistry in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God was one of my favorite things about the drama, so I had high expectations going into this one. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to them.
The drama starts off cute enough, with a simple romance between a lawyer and an actress who begins working at his law firm. Their interactions are sweet, and I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop in the beginning. However, the story soon starts feeling empty, as if the romance itself is the only thing the writers had planned. There's very little suspense, conflict, or meaningful character development to keep things interesting, and several episodes feel unnecessarily stretched out.

My biggest disappointment was the female lead. Yoo In Na is charming, but her character often comes across as overly naive and helpless, which gets frustrating after a while. Lee Dong Wook does a decent job as the serious, emotionally reserved lawyer, but his character also feels rather familiar. After watching them in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, I expected their chemistry to be just as captivating here. While they still have some adorable moments, their romance didn't give me the same excitement or emotional connection. It felt a little too safe and predictable.
The supporting characters and their romantic subplots didn't add much to the overall story either. The soundtrack was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. I kept waiting for the plot to become more engaging, only to realize that the drama was content to rely almost entirely on cute couple moments.

Overall, it isn't a terrible drama, but it feels underwhelming, especially when compared to Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. I can see why people might enjoy it as a lighthearted romance, but for me, the weak storyline and lack of emotional depth made it difficult to stay invested until the end. I wanted to love this drama because of its leads, but good chemistry alone wasn't enough to make up for everything else that was missing.

It's great in what it's trying to do. Love it.

This is a fun, light drama. I watched this because I got tired of watching sad, emotionally-draining shows.

Personally, I didn't watch Goblin so I wasn't acquainted with the actors before I began watching Touch Your Heart. But the chemistry they had in this drama is very palpable to me and I loved both of their characters. It wasn't trying to be a deep, introspective drama, just a simple fluffy watch with enough plot to keep things going. Oh Jung-se was hilarious in this, too. I love how they gave each character enough depth for us to get attached, but not too much that it'd be a sappy melodramatic back story. Jung-rok and Jin-shim's relationship is another example of a well-written, super healthy relationship. Love that for them.

The OST freakin' slaps, too. When I watched it, I found the pacing to be good. I tried rewatching it and it didn't drag on, it's still good.

Overall, I love this drama . They also all got nice endings, so that's a win. Would recommend!

I’ve rooted for this couple so hard since they are from Goblin and especially that I love Yoo In Na to bits. That’s probably why it kind of disappointed me. I feel like their pair up deserves a much better story line and not just the casual rom-com we got here in Touch Your Heart. In my opinion, they could’ve made it big if they had portrayed characters with deeper stories. I believe they can do it having been watched some of their past works.

Yoo In Na definitely dragged the whole cast the entire series. She shines all throughout the 16 episodes and I can’t count how many times I said “wow” because of her beauty though her acting is awesome as well.

However, I don’t know what happened with Lee Dong Wook. I think he could’ve had portrayed his character more convincingly. I was often confused if Jung Rok is being a flat out cold boss or just simply a skeptic nerd. And can I just ask why he always carry a shopping bag?! LOL. Kidding.

I also think that they overdid it with the pair ups in the drama. There are a lot of couples and sub-stories which sometimes are much better than the actual lead couple.

And can I just say how disappointing the reveal is? I was so excited on how people will find out that they’re dating. I thought it would be so hilarious. It’s a flopped, though.

•After watching goblin i was much intrested about what happend to sunny and grim reaper as i already knew that there is a show about their story.
•Touch your Heart on my new dramalist. As soon as i started watching it, 1st scene is of the actress in a scandel and 2nd scene consisting actress taking pills. That scene shook my heart as how innocent she looked saying " the bottle says 30 pills", and there i setup my mind to binge watch it.
•This romantic tale was a like a candyfloss, seeing it makes you grab it and have it similarly this tale is like dont expect much and just enjoy it. Story is typical when a falling person gets a hope they just take it and work hard for it and find love in their way.but after few episode the growth of all the character is watch worthy.
•Acting wise Yoo In Na as Oh jin sim was adorable and bubbly. Her bad acting in those drama sequence were amazing. I like the scene where she was in school uniform, she actually looked like sophomore. Lee dong wook as Kwon Jung Rok gave the vibe of grim reaper, workaholic. When they both date secretly, its very cute and face expressions are surprisngly great. There bonding breakup was so pleasant to watch because of the purity in characters which was jaw dropping.
Other supporting artist were also great. My favourite was prosecuter moon. Her falling in and out of love instantly was a great watch.
•Background ost or those minute sounds which was played during those eye movements, hand shakes, turns, were a cherry of cake for me. Those beautiful sounds made this drama more magical.
•Ost "Make it count" has been added to my playlist and its such a delight to listen it. It like a cheesecake pure and serene.
•About rewatch oh yes obviously. This drama rewatch is a must because every bit of the scene will give energy and happiness without making you tired. I am writing this now while watching it for 3rd time contiuously.

I watched this drama due to one specific reason: Lee Dong Wook. At the time I started watching this drama, I was crazy about him and there were 2 titles of his dramas I had on my list: Touch Your Heart and Strangers From Hell and I chose to watch Touch Your Heart instead.

One thing I fond the most about Touch Your Heart is Yoo In Na's fashion. In every episode, I was like: "Wow! She's very fashionable!"

The storyline is good, so is the acting of all the casts. I have no complains since this is the typical drama which has a simple storyline and cute conflicts.

Filled The Heart

I watched the two main leads before in Great and Lonely God Goblin and it was so depressing to see how Sunny and Grim Reaper ended. This drama makes me feel really good and kinda sequel, gave a closure after Goblin.

"Touch Your Heart" will fill your heart with abundance love & infinite joy.
Touch Your Heart "Team" did a great job. The storyline has romance, heartbreak, resolution, comedy, suspense, climax and mystery. The best part was Lee Dong Wook (Kwon Jung Rok) as introvert and Yoo In Na (Oh Yeon seo/Oh Jin Shim) as extrovert but both played a cute, childish, innocent character. The love, care and respect in ML eyes, the way he slow n steadily fall in love with FL was so mesmerizing...WaaaooW.
All the characters have a charm. The connection between all the attorneys was so heart-warming. I like how other co-couples also shows a good bonding & happy ending.

If you love wholeheartedly its better when you say thing at the right moment, forget to judge, compete, or compare and avoid misunderstanding, hurts, break-up and put love, trust and respect @ first for each other. 😊

Summary: A sweet and simple love story that could very well be blamed on fate, I found “Touch Your Heart” to be a nice romcom (with a little mystery) that didn’t twist too hard into other genres. All the characters felt lovable, except the short-lived villains of course, and difficulties or misunderstandings got resolved quickly. The ending was a bit boring to me, wasn’t much story to tell after they cleared some misunderstandings. Interestingly, I was drawn to this drama through one of the soundtrack songs, which are solid as well. I also appreciated that the product advertising was somewhat more subtle than in other dramas but now I’m feeling like I need to get a ginseng drink before I can move on with life. Lol. I’d consider this show a rainy day re-watch but not high on my list.

I’ve presented some points of story hole evidence at the end of this commentary.

Details: Now that I think about it, there wasn’t a whole lot of exciting situations happening in the story but somehow it kept me entertained. The synopsis of the male lead being cold-hearted didn’t match in my mind. I just perceived that he was just very particular and straightforward about certain matters. There’s plenty of other dramas with super cold (and easily hatable) male leads…but this one was like mild sauce in comparison. Would have loved to see more backstory on Lawyer Kwon Jung Rok's relationship with his father.

The love story between the leads was sweet and it was nice to see their character development over some episodes. Honestly, Kwon Jung Rok is one of the sweetest male leads I’ve seen, a genuinely nice guy. Just gave Oh Jin Sim/Yeon Set a hug when she was guiltily trying to reveal the truth about her situation; he gave her a lot of grace. But of course did dumb things to hurt her in an attempt to help her. I like the references to classic Audrey Hepburn’s Roman Holiday (the filmmakers have good taste) to scare the viewer into wondering what kind of ending it would be (but we weren’t fooled, right?).

I got more of a kick out of the awkward love story between the law firm co-workers Dan Moon Hee and Choi Yoon Hyuk. Lololol. Lawyer Choi’s momma’s boy behavior and little monologues to sexy guitar riffs was so hilarious!

By the last handful of episodes, I was not sure what more story there could be without any villains or mystery left, even with some plot twists thrown in. I can’t say I’m disappointed that there wasn’t much drama to this drama. But I also can’t say it’s a must-watch either. Use as recommended, let it touch your heart with the straightforward love story. :)

Side Notes:
- Do Subways in Korea really sell Americanos? I saw a menu with a seafood sandwich but not any coffee type items.
- Hole in the story, Exhibit A: (between the leads) if you were someone’s ride and took a walk with them in a deserted area, why would you just leave them there by themselves (even if your relationship changed)? Most people with common sense would at least drive the other person home.
- Hole in the story, Exhibit B: (encounter with villain 1) how was Lee Gang Joon able to break into Oh Yeon Seo’s house and how did Kwon Jung Rok get in so easily as well? I get that Lee Gang Joon was stalking her but none of those details were how he obtained so much private personal information on her. Just implying that he’s a chaebol isn’t good enough. Also, why did they have Oh Yeon Seo hire Kwon Jung Rok as her lawyer, then just drop the story in the same episode? Strange.
- I’ve seen Hwang Chan Sung as a great villain in "...Married an Anti-Fan (2021)"; wondering why he (who had already a long resume of dramas by 2019) took a small role as a delivery person. Confused. Lol.
