Awesome amazing will rewatch a million times
I originally watched AMA after watching the legends. However I was a little hesitant because I hadn’t ever watched something like this before. My doubts quickly disappeared. This drama is so good. If it’s not my favourite it is definitely one of my top 5.Xu Kai and Bai Lu did an amazing job I absolutely loved both their characters. All the side plots and side characters were interesting too, I rarely found myself bored with them. Occasionally I was a bit disinterested but that was mainly when the main plot was really roaring.
I have now watched AMA twice in the span of less than two months, both times I binged it. Even on the second viewing I couldn’t stop myself from watching.
Overall it’s a great show with action, a great plot, interesting characters, and a romance I can get behind.

a little touching scene
the storyline was not so bad. I used to be familiar with military dramas in western movies involving women. They were usually nurses or female soldiers. In this drama, getting a female trainee in the dormitory for men could be impossible. First of all, a women would be through the physical checkup. I don't think Chinese military is that sloppy or careless. Though I feel very sorry for Chinese people over the invasion of the Japanese army, depicting our army looks rather too rough. Of course, I like the male lead , but I felt he showed off too much there. His friend's relationship with the flower shop owner was quite touching. Their scene was a minor thing. But, in another site, I found another woman has the same idea as me. Also, the soundtrack for passing by the tomb by her was short but unforgettable. I loved the background scenery such as streets, towns, or the regular pub.Was this review helpful to you?

This is definitely the best Chinese drama I've ever watched. I didn't even expect this from Chinese cinema. The quality is great, the action is great, the acting is great, the plot is great. Of course, some of the characters' actions were questionable, but you can turn a blind eye to that. Well, it is also unclear whether some things, fashion in the drama are included in the context of that time (in terms of whether they wore such clothes then, whether such cameras already existed then (I was just trying to find information about China at that time, so for me everything that was in the drama is doubtful). Throughout the entire viewing, I was really enjoying the acting. Each character, not only the main ones, but also the secondary ones, touched my soul, made me love them and worry about them. I was so worried about these seven students and the people who helped them. And ... oh, this Xu Kai, despite the fact that the drama is quite tense, he really relieved the situation and gave the opportunity to relax a little (I am simply delighted with his acting, in each drama he is different, which shows his level of skill), however, despite this ... the last episodes were extremely difficult and sad ... Of course, in the end there is a happy ending, but it is sad to tears that he is not happy for everyone... it breaks my heart so much... After watching it, I was left with a heavy, but very kind burden on my soul. I regret that I had previously passed this drama by, but I am also glad that I watched it now (because, perhaps, I would not have appreciated it so much before). Definitely worth watching. Review on this Drama if you dropped it from the first episode
When i first saw or watched this drama back in 2020 i dropped it from the first episode because i didnt like the characters but now ive been admiring Xu Kai's acting and looks, i planned to watch it again and it was good and not bad as i thought. This drama has romance if you like romance but it comes as a support of the story so i guess thats why it wasnt in the genre or in the tags of this drama. The characters and roles were all funny. And like any other dramas if theres a happy and joyful scene, a tragic scene comes in. Some of your favorite characters may die and some may not.I like the villains role. Its a girl and theres not many Girl Villains in dramas. but this one played out so well. Now i really really really like girl villains because i think they are all misunderstood and this one showed ot really well. Although we might not know what her plan really was or why she did all of those things but i think she was a puppet of the japanese.

Smut but vanilla
From episode 1 with political undertones looks like a glorified smut story.I can't help think of Mulan's story after reading the synopsis but after seeing all the toxic masculinity in the first episode and knowing the Main FL is being set up with her roommate as a romantic interest who literally tried to kidnap a woman just because he liked her made me want to scratch my eyes out. While this may be acceptable in some cultures and the setting of the drama looks like it's from an important part of Chinese history but the toxicity of men playing soldiers is not worth burning my brain cells over.

Somptueuse série
L'histoireNous sommes en 1915 en Chine, l'empereur a abdiqué, la première guerre mondiale est en route, les japonais veulent profiter du chaos pour s'étendre. L'école de formation militaire reprend du service, mais un élève n'est pas tout à fait prévu.
Cette série a un très gros budget : on voit plein de voitures anciennes très jolies (bon ok, pas forcément de 1915 mais on n'est pas à un anachronisme près, il y en a d'autres) . Les costumes sont là aussi incroyables.
Si je vous disais qu'on retrouve beaucoup d'acteurs/trices de la série Story of Yanxi Palace ? Et la musique aussi résonne similaire !
Ce qui j'ai le plus aimé c'est Xu Kai qui est époustouflant (il a eu des récompenses d'ailleurs pour ce rôle) et Bai Lu qui est vraiment crédible dans ce(s) personnage(s). Les personnages secondaires ne sont pas en reste, à vous de voir combien étaient dans Yanxi palace !
La seule chose que je n'ai pas aimé c'est le personnage de Qu Man Ting, qui fatigue au bout d'un moment.
En conclusion on rigole bien, on a des moments tristes (peu) et on apprend plein de choses sur l'histoire de la Chine !

It's a series about patriotism, I don't understand the historical context of the time because I'm not Chinese so I only speak for the history itself!
PERFECT SERIES!
Characters very well developed by the actors, each episode has a short direction, and EACH EPISODE IS VERY WORTH WATCHING!
1 - WOMEN: if you want to watch series to fall in love with perfect men and dream of someone like you, here we have six! (Shen Ting Bai, my favorite) I removed the female character.
2 - the story is beautiful, about true friendship, companionship, friendship between brothers, why not talk about generosity and kindness too
3 - there are no moments of romance, kisses, hugs but there is THE COURT, WANTING MUCH MORE THAN WANTING GOOD, DOING IT WITHOUT EXPECTING ANYTHING IN RETURN, doing it because you love it.
4 - Get ready to be undecided between two VERY DISTINCT characters, and cry with the recruit you will hate the most.
5 - DON'T GIVE UP, VALE CADE SECOND WATCHED, for me as a story as I said, I wanted to have had the perspective of someone from China on the events of the time.

Então é reaberta a Academia Militar do Arsenal para treinar os jovens. Aí então Xie Xiang resolve se inscrever no lugar do irmão que morreu.
Lá ela tenta manter um perfil discreto, porém com o nascer de uma amizade com alguns de seus colegas de classe esse segredo vai ficando cada dia mais difícil de guardar.
Gente, sério, recomendo demais, apesar que faltou algumas cenas de romance porém o foco do drama não é esse né?😅

Protagonistas femininas fortes, ação e romance na China da década de 20
Normalmente eu não gosto de dramas que tem personagens que assume outro gênero, eu acho um tema clichê e não gosto das interpretações, por isso, fiquei relutante em assistir essa série. Outro ponto que sempre me deixa desmotivada nas séries chinesas é a quantidade de episódios, já que eu costumo preferir séries mais curta. No entanto, essa série vale cada minuto!O primeiro ponto que eu gostei na série é a protagonista feminina forte, ela precisa superar os próprios limites e esconder a verdadeira identidade em meio a um monte de homens, na China da década de 20. Além da protagonista as outras mulheres que aparecem na série também são fortes e com personalidade.
Um ponto que merece destaque é a ambientação e figurino. A produção da série é muito bacana, você é transportado no tempo.
Por fim, eu gosto da química do casal e o relacionamento de amor e ódio que acontece entre os dois. Você vai lentamente se encantando com o protagonista e torcendo pelo romance.
Essa é uma série bem completa com muita ação, comédia e romance. Além disso, ela foge da mesmice e faz com que você mergulhe em uma outra era.

Arsenal Military Academy
Assistir Arsenal Military Academy foi uma experiência nova para mim. Eu já tinha visto dramas modernos e também de época, mas geralmente ambientados em dinastias antigas. Este, por se passar no período da Segunda Guerra Mundial, trouxe um cenário histórico completamente diferente e me surpreendeu a ambientação, os figurinos e os cenários impecáveis, que me fizeram mergulhar na história e no cotidiano dos estudantes da academia militar.O desenvolvimento do protagonista masculino foi um ponto alto pra mim. Ele começa como um garoto mimado, arrogante e riquinho, mas vai se transformando aos poucos, mostrando humanidade e amadurecimento. Já a protagonista feminina é incrível, forte e justiceira. É impossível não admirar sua coragem e determinação. Os outros personagens são cativantes, e a jornada deles, mesmo com seus altos e baixos, é envolvente.
É um drama que vale a pena assistir — mas sem esperar um romance arrebatador ou finais felizes. Eu, como esperei um pouquinho mais do desenvolvimento do casal, não consegui dar um dez. Mesmo assim, é uma produção impecável!

La historia parte de una premisa sencilla, una chica que ingresa a una Academia militar y tendrá que compartir habitación con el más rebelde de la Academia. Eso solo es la punta de iceberg, el contexto social y político está realmente muy bien desarrollado y con gran habilidad vas conociendo acontecimientos importantes de la época en ese pais puesto que muchos afectan a los personajes. Las distintas formas de pensar y vivir van viendose poco a poco creando una imagen muy amplia del contexto social. El vestuario y los escenarios son maravillosos.
No solo nos relata la vida de la protagonista sino que hay varias otras tramas que van confluyendo y uniendose. Los distintos personajes, sus distintas formas de ser, su pasado y presente van descubriendose poco a poco consiguiendo que te encariñes y conozcas muy bien a cada uno.
Sin duda lo que más me ha gustado ha sido la pareja protagonista (una pareja espectacular de la que voy a ver todo lo que hagan juntos). La química entre ellos es increíble (ya los había visto en “the legends” y también me enamoraron). Como se desarrolla su vida como compañeros de habitación, como se hacen amigos y como poco a poco sus sentimientos aumentan. Es un romance lento pero es de los que merecen mucho la pena ver… sobre todo por lo divertido que es el protagonista, ¡lo que me he podido reir con él! Cuando se metía con la protagonista o la chinchaba o intentaba camelarla me sacaba carcajadas. El actor lo ha hecho espectacularmente bien, su expresiva cara lo decía todo y contrastaba mucho con la cara más bien calmada de la protagonista. La protagonista es fuerte, decidida y valiente, me ha gustado mucho su carácter y forma de ser.
Una de las cosas que menos me han gustado han sido los múltiples triángulos amorosos de los que no soy muy fan pero han sabido hacerlo poco dramático y eso ayuda a que no me molestase verlo.
La trama se desarrolla de forma muy dinámica y amena, hay fluidez entre los momentos de drama, acción y comedia que consigue hacer la serie mucho más entretenida.
Un drama que lo tiene todo para convertirse en un gran favorito.
P.d: Tengo la canción que cantan a dúo los protagonistas y es parte de la ost en bucle, ¡qué bonita!
