Tae In dropped out of school and spent her brother's hard-earned tuition money on designer clothes instead. She intends to land herself a rich husband and has no other plans than that. Yang is determined to earn the money again and force her back into college to finish her studies.
Yang and Ga On (JS) both start new jobs at the same company as underlings. Yang passes out from exhaustion on his first day, so he needs to prove himself to his boss on the second day. They give him an embarrassing challenge and a difficult one. Ga On witnesses both, though she doesn't recognize him (it's been 11 years, after all). She is also given daily jobs and eventually falls asleep on the job. He leaves her a gift and a note of encouragement. He doesn't recognize her either, though he still fantasizes about Jin Shim but only sees her as how she used to look.
A new guy, Seul Woo, who is a chaebol, is introduced. He drives a red sports car that he calls Monster. He loves Monster. Her father is very devoted to her and admires her determination to work hard rather than take the privileged, easy route she's entitled to because of her family status.
Kang Sun snubs Seul Woo's mother at a fashion event, so Seul calls her on her bad behaviour, and she slaps him. He stops his mother from defending him and tells Sun that her nasty behaviour has trickled down to her daughter. He explained what he saw that day in the parking garage when Ga On was working there. Ga On stands up to him and demands that he apologize to her mother.
