I started watching it after watching a few clips online. It really caught my attention. After watching so many dramas( I'm a drama addict fyi), I was looking for a story like this.
Even though I was quite annoyed at the second-lead in the beginning, the story had quite interesting turns, which held me hooked to it.
Actually why I liked it so much is that, it's quite similar to Love o2o, which is my all time favourite. And it's quite light hearted compared to Love o2o, was a complete stress-buster. I've downloaded the whole drama, n would re-watch it again n again, maybe until I understand the dialogues without subtitles ????

Without saying too much, it was slow paced, entertaining and fun. Almost everything about this drama felt nice, right, healing? of sorts. It's almost as if you're inside your bed, comfortable and warm. Sometimes the multiple shots and the montages of scenes did irk me, and I did skip through most of the second plot (the friend's plot) because... I simply didn't care all that much about his character - but it was nice for the writers to include a sub plot, even if it was just not one I liked. I really recommend it for anyone that wants something quite free of overdramatic plots.

Accidentally found this drama after I started watching Chinese dramas. It was my first youth chinese drama.STORY:
The story is very simple as it follow a couple at the end of their university year and the beginning of their professional life. I thought it was well told with a good balance between school life, training life and their challenges and a bit of office life. And all along we are seeing these two persons getting together and how they become a couple. Everything looked natural and the pace of the story was very good. There is not evil person, no terrible drama, and although things looked very secured for the main couple I felt concerned and close to them and I cheered for them. I believe it is because the narration gives less parts to the secondary characters (second couple, rivals, friends, family...) and invites us into the "almost" intimacy of the main couple as we these two live, eat, sleep, go to work, go to the supermarket together in assorted colors every day. Overall I thought the story was cute, very natural and the ending was nicely wrapped.
ACTING / CAST:
This was my first time watching Fair Xing in a drama. I thought she was spot on in this role. She was cute, smart, combative and tried not to doubt herself. The main guy was great too. Perfectly portraying some cute gentle nerd who overcomes his lack of sociability for the girl he liked out of hand. I am looking forward to see his new projects. More than everything, I thought the chemistry between these two people was the biggest quality of this drama. They were just incredible together on screen and yes the difference of height helped a lot. The second leads were nice too. The second lead actor was a bit stiff but I guess it was his role. I saw him in other works where he was quite fun. The couple he forms with the second female lead has less cuteness but how they become a couple is credible too and you are happy for them as they are good persons. All the actors were ok and I liked the mother, the parents which brought the nice family touch to this drama.
MUSIC:
I guess the music was good and helped . I don't remember much of it meaning I did not like it to listen to it beside watching the drama. I was a bit surprised there was some many cat and animals sound' effects but you get used to it and it brings something to the cute mood.
REWATCH:
I think the story is very simple and although I felt close to them and eager to know how they would end I don't think it is good enough for me to rewatch it entirely. I still remember some great scene I would gladly rewatch though: the hospital when she is sick, the trip to the seashore, the failed first time, , the trip to Germany....
OVERALL: One of my favorite of 2019. Super recommended.

A Feel-Good Campus Romance That’s Easy on the Heart
TL;DRPut Your Head on My Shoulder is an easy-to-love college romance that offers just the right mix of humor, charm, and warm fuzzy feelings. If you’re looking for a drama with high emotional stakes, this isn’t it—but if you want something wholesome and comforting with an adorably awkward romance, it hits the sweet spot.
This drama doesn’t break new ground, but it executes its youthful romance story very well. It follows Si Tu Mo, a cheerful and hardworking university girl, who—thanks to a twist of fate—ends up living in a house that happens to be shared with Gu Wei Yi, a quiet and brilliant physics student. What begins as an awkward living situation slowly blossoms into a warm and sweet romance, told with just the right blend of humor and everyday charm. There are no dramatic twists or emotional meltdowns—just a comforting progression of young love, misunderstandings, growth, and eventual marriage. The 24-episode run keeps the tone consistent and light-hearted throughout, making it an enjoyable slice-of-life experience.
Both the female lead (Xing Fei as Si Tu Mo) and male lead (Lin Yi as Gu Wei Yi) give solid performances. Their chemistry is natural, charming, and fits the drama’s cozy vibe. Si Tu Mo’s bubbly personality plays off well against Gu Wei Yi’s quiet genius persona, creating plenty of cute and comedic moments. The acting supports the tone of the show—nothing too deep or heavy, but always pleasant to watch.
The soundtrack and background scores are serviceable but unmemorable. They complement the scenes well enough but don’t stand out or leave a lasting impression. The production is clean and soft, consistent with its genre, with cozy indoor settings and warm campus visuals that match the tone.
If you're a fan of feel-good, low-conflict romances, this is definitely rewatchable. It doesn’t demand a lot emotionally, which makes it a comforting watch if you're in the mood for something sweet, calm, and light. Months after finishing it, the thought of revisiting it still feels appealing—and that's a good sign.

Slow paced with even Slower burn romance that wastes it's potential & turns tepid
Cute & Pleasant but Sloooow burn romance.Acting was good but personally, I was not really awe struck by lead guy. Lead girl didn't seem to find his kissing very inspiring either.
Rewatch value: no, pace is too leisurely so plot progressed too slowly, stretching my patience. I didn't find the secondary couple or the work place plot line interesting .
The last 2 episodes were a mish-mash of the moments we'd been waiting for & filler pertaining to parents, side characters, and future.
I wish I had skipped a certain part ,fast forwarded & stopped watching 9 min into ep 24, Then the story would have been much more satisfying & left you feeling good instead of having those good feelings dulled by resolving every conceivable aspect of the character's lives. I personally am not entertained by
child to parent awkwardness concerning the adult child's love life. Neither am I ever going to be interested in seeing a peek into the main couple's lives a few years down the road (when they have children!)
here's why I rated it so low:
**********Specific-Spoilers***********
A) failed attempt at sex , with the guy doing research online afterwards on anatomy (complete with diagrams) to figure out what went wrong. This was not funny to me.
if you feel the same :stop in Ep 22, 9 min in & fast forward .
B)I hate the typical time lapse/separation (this one is a mere 6 months) but the story has already dragged you slowly to this point only to just stall, yet again.
Ep 23 (Just skip it !!!!) seriously, you miss nothing but filler.
C) Ep 24 has a non romantic bedroom scene (in what culture is it considered romantic to have a guy straddling a girl, while he holds down her outstretched hands on either side of her ? )
Plus it has the non romantic conclusion of taking an abortion pill afterwards. EU !]
Even with the slow pace & filler, I'd rate this a 9/10 If I could have skipped 2 scenes & stopped watching the series completely at any one of 3 places.
If I were to rewatch this again this is what What i would tell myself:
1) stop in Ep 22, 9 min in & fast forward through the failed sex & research scene.
1) skip the 6 month separation in Ep 23 completely
3) End before the end:
9 min into ep 24 they get married & that is a really good place to end the whole series, or even stop 10 min in after they meet a colleague at at cafe but either way, skip the non romantic bedroom scene that follows & the taking of the abortion pill 10 min 44 sec into the episode. just skip them being in bed altogether really.
4) I for some reason I you feel compelled to slog through more, 37 min into ep 24 where he sees her in her wedding clothes is also a great place to end watching the series (before those warm fuzzies go tepid & boring)

Sweet but Strong Young Love
A genius physics student + an accounting major end up living together prior to graduation. Can these opposites survive the upheaval the other brings to their routine? This couple is really cute once they clear up all the misunderstandings & confess their feelings for each other. I wasn’t really all that invested in the first half of the show, tbh. It’s not bad or anything, I just didn’t get drawn in. I did quite enjoy it though once the Leads were together. Their interactions were super cute & the way they show their love for one another is adorable. 💝 I really appreciated how protective and supportive they were of one another, never holding each other back from pursuing their dreams. They were a good portrayal of a healthy relationship and proof that not all young couples engage in unnecessary drama.

Why you should watch this drama?
Firstly, I'm the type of watcher that will drop a drama with silly break up because of misunderstanding and what so ever. So the fact that I manage to watch it till the end meaning that this story is so special. It makes you laugh, smile, blush and cry (out of happiness<333). The acting was good too! Anyway, this is a story that will make you crave for more and warning, once you watch it, you can never stop! <3333For the storyline itself, I think it's great actually. You see how a person slowly inlove, how they turn into a couple, how they bicker but lower the ego to apologize, how they handle jealousy and more.
It's also include friendship, students life, work life, one sided love and more.
For the music, it doesn't get stuck in my head, but it makes me follow the singer to sing along ;p hehe
Anyway, this is totally a stress reliever drama you should watch!
10/10 <3

The worst drama I have ever watched
Probably and extremely unpopular opinion judging from the 8.4 rating overall, but. I hated it. I was excited to watch it in the beginning, it having been recommended to me, but I guess this is an example of when opinions differ. In the beginning, it was ok, but when reaching around episode 18? Something happened, idk what, but my desire to keep watching just literally hit the brakes and stopped. I only finished watching for the sake of finishing it. It was literal torture, pushing through those last few episodes on 2x speed hoping to hurry the process up. There is no plot. Literally. Fei Xing and Lin Yi did well as the actors, but it was just not it. Idk what people see in this. It was like medieval torture watching the whole thing. Situ Mo and Gu Weiyi had an alright relationship in the beginning, and I don't know what went wrong after that though. My interest just dried out. Just a plain no from me. (Ignore my rating for music, unless it's really good I just put a two for everything)Was this review helpful to you?

Aside from these two catchy tunes, I didn’t find the OST to be particularly amazing, but it suited the drama well enough.

Review:
Put your head on my shoulder was written well enough for what it was. Coming of age romances aren’t really my thing. It might be because I’ve aged out of them, mostly it’s because I don’t think love will work out if you haven’t established yourself and the couples are two young.
There was a lot of instances where the ladies treated the men in really crappy ways, but instead of consequences, or apologies, it’s left to the men to come crawling back. This didn’t really sit well with me, maybe I’m the problem, maybe it was supposed to be humorous. Instead it came off as misandry from the writers.
Mostly the drama is about coming of age, navigating relationships, and finding and doing what you love, rather than living for your parents. And, while it takes a little too long to get there, the dramas conveys its messages well.
The drama is well paced, falling short only in a couple of areas. It takes a little too long for the relationship to get started. The only other issue is the time skip, which is a trope that needs to be put away. The writers need a new trick.
Final Thoughts:
This is a fluffy, low stress romcom that deals with issues of first love, first relationships, and navigating the hurdles that comes with those situations. It’s an opposites attract romance that you can turn your brain off to an enjoy.
If you enjoy college romance, female empowerment, and light fluffy romances, this drama is probably worth a watch.
Rating:
6.4/10
