The truth is revealed and Ning Xiang had really faked her death. They figure out that the third death notice gives them clues about where the real merchant and the pearl is. Ran Yan runs into the assassin again and he gives her a hairpin. Xiao Song gets a note that someone has been kidnapped. Xiao Song gets there in time before Ran Yan gets sent out of the city by some imposters. However, the pearl that is found is fake. Ran Yan gets the assassin to help her kidnap her fiancée because she doesn't want to get married. Ran Yan tries to escape her marriage, but then Xiao Song kidnaps the bride.
