A Story to Read When You First Fall in Love

I recommend this series if you’ve already watched it, as it has a similar plot that revolves around the challenges and responsibilities of being a teacher, both at school and in a tutoring center. In terms of the storyline, Subarashiki Kana, Sensei! focuses more on the issues of being a school teacher and the heavy responsibilities of being a homeroom teacher. Meanwhile, in the series Hajimete Koi wo Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi, it highlights the responsibilities of a cram school teacher in helping her student get accepted into the best university in Tokyo, along with the complexities of her love life as she’s still single at the age of 33 wwww.
However, that’s the peak of the comedy in this series—I highly recommend it if you’re looking for an emotional rollercoaster mixed with lots of laughs from the comedic moments in the story.

Older woman/younger man relationship between a working woman and a student. HKWS is much more of a taboo relationship since the boy in not only in high school, but is actually her student at cram school, but the FL acknowledges keeps her distance (or tries to), so it feels cute rather than creepy like some other teacher/student series.

Both dramas have the same theme, additional lessons from tutors to enter prestigious schools / colleges.

The main character in both dramas also has the same profession, a tutor.

If you enjoy Student x Teacher romance you might enjoy these. However, HajiKoi takes an approach more to comedy while Chugakusei Nikki focuses on melodrama.

Lead actress Fukada Kyoko and she plays similar character- thirty year old woman, oblivious in love, mid-life crisis type beat. Both dramas are funny, dramatic, and romantic.
