Theory of Love

Theory of Love: Special Episode "Stand By Me" has a parent story called Theory of Love. This parent story tells how Khai and Third started dating and also the friendship of this four gentlemen: Khai, Third, Two and Bone. Theory of Love's story revolved around how these four friends life during study time but ToL: Special Episode "Stand By Me" is a story after they finished the study. If by chance some audiences found this one-hour special episode and haven't watched the original parent story, they should watch Theory of Love first to understand more about the storyline.

Despite the very different plots, the emotional complexity and the way that the story holds on to you is very reminiscent of each other. Friend dynamics are also very similar.

Both are about the unrequited love of one character towards another character who they have known for a long time.

Uni students dealing with love and friendship. The characters are film enthusiasts, particularly romance movie nerds, and reenact scenes from the romance classics, for example "love, actually".

Both are about a school film-making club and one of the leads having a crush on the other. Both dramas are quite short, one more so than the other.

Both dramas feature one lead who has been in love with the other for years, but after taking a certain amount of abuse from the him, have decided to give up on their love and move on. It is at this point that the other lead realizes their own love and tries to win them back.

Both series have a happy ever after ending that may make viewers wondering if the ML deserves it.

Both shows focus on multiple characters and couples, one of the couples going from friends to lovers. The characters are also related to movies (in ToL the characters are filmology majors and in YOUniverse two of the characters collect movie and drama soundtracks). Both dramas also were (co-)directed by the same person, look so so good and have very nice bgm

In both dramas, the main characters work in filmmaking. Also the ML from ToL makes a cameo appearance as that character in episode 5 of VV.

I fell first but you fell hard.its so much look alike theory of love plot.like the love story.offgun chemistry as always on the top of the hill.khai third and Jane rayan make reasonable love intrest.

Thai BL dramas! one of the couples from Top Secret Together shares a similar story to the main couple in Theory of Love. Best friends, one falls for the other, he rejects him and makes him suffer and then realizes he actually loves him and fights to get his love back when it was already too late!
