It's a mix of cinderella (without the evil stepmother and evil stepsisters), hunger games (but no one is killing anyone), he's into you (gender switching instead of body switching), all boiled into romcom with a unicorn.
The story is really a cliche when it comes to romcoms but what made it special was the acting and how they made you see through love in different ways. One is from looking at someone regardless of their gender, another one is being attracted to someone based on their peraonality even if the one you're attracted to has the exact same appearance (it's a twin potato thing), the love of a father, love of a sibling, and love of a mother. They were all laid out in a heart warming way which makes it stray a bit from being a cliche series.
Also, kudos to the lead actor (male Love). I've seen him act in so many series and he's necer disappointed from playing a depressed suicidal kid to playing his role here as a girl stuck in a man's body. His body language is screaming girl stuck in a man's body in a natural unforced way. Plus when he cries, HE CRIES.

If you liked dramas like You're Beautiful, Hana Kimi or Bromance, chances are you'll probably like this one too.It is true that this one is kind of like a clickbait for BL fans. GMA is what you get when the whole girl cross-dressing as a guy theme is mixed with alot of science fiction. The FL gets turned into an actual guy by the wish-fulfilling Unicorn when she asks for her love to be fulfilled (I'm guessing that Unicorn has a dark sense of humor). She then goes to the academy where her crush studies and tries to get close to him. In general the story was not as bad as I expected. There was romance, comedy, cliches, fights, some twists and turns in the story etc. There were also some major plot holes which bothered me-
1) The whole Unicorn angle seemed a bit ridiculous to me. If unicorns existed I'm pretty sure they wouldn't go around granting wishes to teenagers. Also if you could get a wish just by finding a unicorn in a forest, all the people would be wandering around there to get it.
2) The other thing that I couldn't digest was the fact that all the people that did get to have wishes (Vier, Love & Rose) squandered their wishes on pretty stupid things. Like I can atleast take Love's wish, which was to find true love, seriously but Vier and Rose using their wishes to get over/get back together with their exes was just so moronic. They could have taken couple's counselling or read a book on dating instead of wasting wishes. (wish to end world hunger or for there to be world peace or if you are selfish, wish for wealth or a perfect life or something)
3) The technology used in the school seemed quite advanced like the digital books, uber realistic VR and AI holograms but they couldn't install a semi-decent security system to keep the kids in. All they had was a single dormitory head to monitor 5-6 floors. Even my hostel had cameras on every floor, wardens and security guards.
4) Although the Greatest competition was an interesting addition to the story, the whole thing was a bit like hunger games and all the parents, teachers and other's watching seemed pretty weird.
Apart from this the rest of the story was good. The actor playing male Love absolutely nailed it. His mannerisms were just like a girl (It was kinda freaky but very convincing). The actor playing Tangmo was also pretty good (he showcased a wide range of emotions).
Vier's character was supposed to be a greedy a-hole but he came off as just a petty jerk ( or the typical mean girl character in every drama since Rose turned out to be a good person). Rose's character development was definitely the best. I liked the fact that she moved on instead of pining for Vier or getting back together with someone who definitely didn't care enough. Same with Love's character, instead of chasing after Vier after getting used and rejected, she manned up (literally) and moved on.
The music and cinematography was good. The series could definitely have had more episodes but even with 8 it wrapped up nicely. I would definitely watch if they made a 2nd season.

AMAZING!
It was actually the first BL i ever watched. And I'm thankful for that lol. Everything about this series is amazing. The acting, the way the characters express themselves. But most importantly, I am IN LOVE with Love and Tangmo. I ship them since ep 1! Paris is a great actor, cause he made he hate Vier from ep 3 lol. ( but i love Paris)The story is sooo great cause it's unique and I haven't seen it anywhere else. Love is a girl that is obsessed with Vier, but can't be close to him cause his school is only for boys. One day she was near the sea and saw a unicorn hurt. She helped it out and it gave her a wish. That's how she became a boy, to be near her love. But she didn't know WHICH love...

I can’t really say much but i really love that this is kinda mixture of harry potter and divergent series also the fact that the romance between the actor isn’t like the one u usually see as in it’s quite rare that the main lead isn’t end up with the first dude that appear and worshipped by everyone on the 1st episode... i really like the storyline and how they make it flow just at enough moment. Really i need a lot of this kind of series i personally like when the genre is not pure romance but also action or fantasy or science fiction where it’ll be way more thrilling and Fascinating to watch. You wouldn’t be bored by this kind of genre with a little bit comedy in it would be extremely perfect. The character in this series also fit perfectly with the cast. Much love 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍Was this review helpful to you?

Might help you to know if this series is for you.
Story: I really love the story I am personally inlove with BL series and with this one its with a different catch.. at first you will think that the story is Kinda Generic for a body switching series but for this one its not and it has a great twist and I am happy to that and it satisfies me and I really love series that can make me guess and think about the ending and in this one I thought I figure out how the ending will be but its different. Overall I really like this series the reason for a low rewatch value is I am not a really big fan of rewatching a movie or series because the thrill is not there anymore because you already know what will happen. Was this review helpful to you?

GMA is the best television show
I love this show! It was such a wonderful ensemble cast. Every supporting character was compelling to me! There are some very good friendship dynamics and the love pentagon was fraught with identity shenanigans and divorces and the issue of what it means to be a protagonist in your own life, and I loved it! So much is communicated via lingering, complicated gazes, which gets more and more intense as the love polygon grows new angles. The family stuff in here is also really good and brutal and perfect.FANTASY WORLDBUILDING: Almost none!! God, it’s delightful. It’s just a regular world except there’s a magical unicorn and magic-level VR technology I guess?? There’s a point where they talk about mind-reading and I was like “oh finally some more magic” but no they just meant like understanding body language. Don’t worry about it!
GENDERS: It is by no means perfect, gender-wise, but the fact that it’s multilayered and complicated and messy is why I personally loved it a lot. There is the magical gender wish fulfillment stuff AND dysphoria stuff AND fear of telling your family about your identity stuff AND identities misaligning and aligning romantically, which might not be some people’s idea of a good time, but it is very much mine. I kept waiting for things to be magically fixed in a disappointing transphobic way, but I actually found the ending super fucking satisfying.
Things along the way were done thoughtfully, too. There are some shitty comments made by some characters, but it’s also in character for them to do that, people have arcs, etc etc. Love’s male actor does such a good job playing her, too. I love the way he carries himself as her. And his dumb ugly haircut she cares so much about keeping neat. It’s never played for laughs in the show’s universe OR for in a “haha here’s a guy playing a girl” way for the audience, which I was really happy about. There are some really chewy difficult moments in there, but it is REALLY consistent tonally about both “your body does not dictate your gender” AND “sometimes you want your body to reflect your gender.” And like I feel like those are baseline concepts, but often in gendery media you get “born in the wrong body” simplification and that’s it, which doesn’t resonate with me.
Like this isn’t a story about a transgender person. But the themes are in there, because obviously there are times when Love is not seen as a girl. I’m struggling to word it right without spoiling things so idk you just gotta take a leap of faith lmao, though ymmv. I both had a delightful time AND cried a lot about gender in a very personal way while watching, because it’s messy and hard and confusing but also my god...I want a magical gender unicorn. Obviously everyone’s trans feelings are different so it might not be for everyone, but I just really loved it.
In a broader sense, I also really liked how “this is how boys/girls act” was played on throughout the show, too. There are some things that are lined up as “girl stuff” that Love really fucks up, and a male character ends up with as his arc, for example. Also I kept thinking they were taking some Pickup Artist elective class but magical boy school just teaches them how to drink respect women juice instead???? Idk man, I love this fantasyland.
OVERALL: I loved the romance plot, each individual character’s arc, I loved some tropes showing up that I can’t say bc it’s spoilers, I loved what it had to say about the Self. I loved the family stuff. I loved the bonkers setup/world.
I also think the best available fansubs are the thaibl92 ones

It's really good!!
In the end of this comment is spoilers so don't read if you haven't watch this series yet and don't want to get spoiled!!I didn't think this would be good cuz all these similar series where female character switch to male body, it's always kinda cringy and weird.. But this was so good! They made it so well and male Love was so good acting like it wasn't cringy teenage girl who is desperately chasing her crush and then cry every episode and acts just so girly xd
Also i love how different all these characters was! They had their own problems and i loved how everyone had their own personality, it made them so special. Usually there is just these friend characters whose only reason to be there is just to say "hurray!" in the back and help sometimes the main character :D Soooo i really liked how these characters had their own personality :3 Also i'm so happy that Tangmo and Love got together in the end and not Love and Vier! Like yeah Vier was cute and all of that but Love and Tangmo was just perfect and i loved all their little moments. I think Vier was so cute with Rose/Sean ^^
So after all, this was so good and rewatching this would be always good choice :D

Actually really good
When I first started watching this show, initially I was like this is a dumb a BL. A girl who switches back from a guy who is trying to impress her crush in guy form but she doesn't want to be a guy. This is gonna be a repeat of The Shipper (which ended up being terrible), but after the first episode I was so intrigued. It is probably one of the top BL's I've watched in terms of an interesting plot. Warning though the BL portion is not the centre fold of the show. One thing I really liked about the show apart from the reveals and suspense is the depth each character had and how real and relatable they were. I honestly feel like I learnt a lot from this show, which I can't say that about many shows. Was this review helpful to you?

I really like this story about this girl who will be able to realize her wish to see her star Vier.
This drama is very funny, appealing and touching. I really like the bromance between these characters. Sean, Love, Nuclear, Menn, Vier, Tangmo ! Whaouh !
Big crush for Tangmo ! A pain in the neck at first, but he become a funny and appealing guy.
In conclusion, this drama is a must-see !

Story:
When you first watch, the story does seem a little bit cheesy and stereotypically fairy-tale like. But as you continue to watch, especially as the first episode ends, you learn that there is so muvh more to the story than a girl turning into a boy and a magical unicorn. It tackles love triangles, pressure, troubles in friendship, selfishness and lots of very complex plot points that I really got into! The story is easy to follow along with, and you really get into it. Personally, story is very important to me. Especially with BLs (I’m not sure if this counts as a BL or not, but regardless I will continue to refer to it as a BL because it a lotnof the demographic is BL fans) I always feel like they focus more on the romance and fanservice rather than the plot which really bothers me! The romance is accompanied nicely with a good plot that keeps you entertained and interested in the story. I was also worried about how the representation would be considering Love is a girl in a boys body, but I’m really happy with how they conveyed it! This could’ve been problematic, but the drama settles on the idea that love is the person, and not the gender. Kudos to the writers, I wish I had more words to describe how much I love the story haha. I do feel as though Good’s relationship with Me was a little bit pointless, but nevertheless it added a little bit of wholesomeness. I also found myself cringing a little bit at the tournament the first time I watched it, just because of how different it was from the rest of the drama. But after watching it again, I realise that it is really well done. It’s not my favourite part of the drama, but it is really good for character development.
Acting/Cast:
The acting is spectacular. This is another problem I sometimes face with BL dramas. (Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of BL dramas with great actors!) But the acting is sometimes cheesy and forced. I’m not sure if its just me, but I sometimes struggle to see the person on screen as a character. I see them as an actor trying to play a character, and saying lines meaninglessly. But the acting goes way beyond that in this drama! Especially with the actor who plays male Love. I am so impressed. There was a lot of emotionally complexity that he had to convey, and he nailed it. He also did really well showing that he is a girl in a boys body. I am particualrly impressed with him! When you can feel what a character is feeling, that is how you know an actor is good. Tangmo is also perhaps my favourite character in any drama ever. He is easily a fan favourite and you have to love him! The acting among the cast is so casual and well done, and I appreciate it. It reminded me of westeen entertainment. (I’m not saying western entertainment is always better, I just think the standards are a lot higher). Every character has something special about them, and they all did really well. You become attatched to each character, and that’s how you know its a good cast!
Music:
The OST is really catchy and I like how it is used in the drama. I find myself singing the opening tune sometimes haha. Also, the opening credits enticed me the moment I first watched the drama!
Rewarch value:
Considering this is my third time watching it, I definitely think that you would most not settle on watching it once. If I feel an emotional attatchment to a drama, I will watch it again!
Overall:
My favourite thai drama of all time! I love everything about it. There is so much character development and emotional struggles. I couldn’t reccomend it enough.
