Shaozi's men discover that Ti Lan is being held captive in Ji Chang's deserted palace by Suo Lan. The Emperor decides to go and save Ti Lan, but is caught in an ambush. Fang Zhu arrives in time to help, but Ti Lan goes into early labor, so the Emperor breaks away to find a spot for Ti Lan to give birth. Fang Zhu finds them too late and Hai Shi arrives with reinforcements to quell General Tang and his men. Hai Shi promises to serve as advisor to the Prince.
