first off loved Sang Bae - know he a side character (that's more tapestry in such a short movie) but loved the dude from start to finish. ton's of energy and all positive. he the one noticed from the word go (what with that t-shirt with the print "Sleep With Me, Free Breakfast" like how can u not love someone with that kinda 'hutzpah'), his personality totally matched that print, and he was the life of the party what with the only other 2 being introverts

the movie itself, a lot felt rush and was rushed cause this so short - u need everything to flow rapidly, but idk IMHO it felt off and rushed and not really natural. it felt staged - and call me an ageist, but Dong Soo looks a teen (even if he in his 20's) and In Pyo looks(!) in his 40's. so that made me feel a bit uneasy. but ignored it, just to see how things would develop (like mentioned already) a lot of "oopsh" moments that lead to them "getting" together.
but it was mutual attraction/curiosity and nothing was force, so whatever.. but one up rooting one's life or deciding to up root it, on a fling? (maybe others more romantic minded will think differently, but this was nothing more then a fling to me) and to move (drastically) to the country side (a very remote isolated spot) to a city girl like me, seems so incomprehensible. i can't believe anyone would do that, not forever. oh idk i guess i'm the one at fault, for thinking in terms of forever - while this might mean they enjoy each other in the now and deal with tomorrow, tomorrow.

then yeah i guess it works (but then don't get why Dong Soo doesn't mention this when he acts like he going away for good, even if he was unsure and decided on the way back home. he could've spoken a word or two instead of that weird mute act, he put on the sec In Pyo wished time would stop) cause as this started off with "...Dong So Tired of repeated life and work takes three days off and goes on a long-distance bike ride..." what does it matter if it's 3 days, a month or more?!? he an adult and this could be a short romance or a long one, so open end - cute idea, wish the flow was better. but fine for a short movie.

I liked the first short I saw from Strongberry Productions so much, that I decided to buy a copy of this second short from Vimeo since it is not available for free. And by the way, I love sponsoring these great directors and producers doing such fine job with such limited resources and was happy paying the money - and would have purchased other shorts from the same production company in the future.

WARNING!!!

However, the Vimeo website clearly indicated... languages: Korean and English... and I trusted them! But to our surprise, when I started up my home theater to watch this movie I discovered the english subtitles only appear on my iPad, and computer and not on the home entertainment screen in front of my friends.

Happily, me and my friends do not watch movies on iPads with earbuds while riding the bus, or at the school library.

Sadly, we do not speak Korean either and relied on the website’s description of services believing its subtitles would be available on t.v. monitors and large screen systems.

Therefore, we have had to make different plans for our afternoon of fun and relaxation, now lying by the pool on a drafty and overcast day where chilled wine makes absolutely no sense; thank you. This was NOT a very pleasant beginning for what has turned out to be a very short commercial engagement.

We obviously watched the short with a Korean friend present who translated the dialogue; but, I will never again purchase any other film from Strongberry Productions or Vimeo. I do want to warn future viewers who purchase a copy of this movie (who do not enjoy the pleasure of speaking Korean) that you will have to watch it within the small confines of an iPad… which is perfectly fine for some, but not for others, and should have been specified in the Vimeo website.

so-so

• a film from strongberry with a duration of 27 min
• so here's the story, nagbike si Dong Soo ta's nasemplang siya and nakarating siya sa farm nina In Pyo at Sang Bae. Nando'n lang siya hanggang gumaling sugat niya, and Dong Soo found out na gay si In Pyo dahil sa box na may lamang condom (??) tsaka poster ng "Long Time No See" (series from strongberry, top 1 fav ko na prinoduce ng sb). So do'n na nagsimula na magkaroon sila ng feelings at makabuo ng rs.
• btw, natawa ko sa entrance ni In Pyo do'n sa intro, ang shala ng pasok with maangas na bg music hahahalol. gusto ko lang din i-note 'yong pagsneak peek ni in pyo sa bike short/cycling ni dongsoo, pansin ko 'yon ikaw ha 0_o??
• i found epic sa pagbagsak ni Dong Soo sa farm. And i loved it that he came back in the end!
• 5/10
