As expected from OCN, it is one of the best adaptation, from my opinion.

Let's start with the story. It is very disturbing, creepy and scary (at least for me because I'm not used to this kind of story even if I like thriller drama) which makes this drama particular. The ending is even more disturbing, I felt very uncomfortable watching it but it is worth it. I mean, it is part of the story, and makes sense. I felt so sad for the main character and also for others but I do not want to spoil it so I will not give every details. The twist at the end was a very disturbing twist yet it was a good one. I also like the fact it portrays the loopholes of the system : the social loopholes which do not facilitates things for the poor class and shows the vicious circle that happens in general, the loopholes of the law enforcement; etc. One of the best point is that there was romance but there was no cringy/embarassing romance which I truly appreciate !

For the cast, I am so impressed about their profesionnalism and their quality. To be clear, each one of them did a perfect job, even the police woman, all of the residents of the appartment, and of the course the main actors. All of them did a great job, the roles were really not easy to do, but they did so well. Of course, Lee dong woo and Him Si wan were just so good, it is impossible to complain.

The osts were just so good, like, really. There again, it is impossible to complain about the osts.

I truly recommend this drama as it is a very good adaptation of the webtoon of the same name ! You just got to be prepared of the creepy side of the drama lol

I love it

*SPOILERS*
This series is a must watch for anyone that loves thriller, horror and psychological dramas. It's one of my all time favorite dramas and I think it deserves wayyy more hype. May be slow paced in the start but it builds up to a breaking point later in the drama where you get all the action and good stuff. Absolutely love the acting in this, especially by Im Siwan and Lee Dong Wook. They're amazing at acting like psychopaths lol. I really love how Siwan acts with his eyes and his facial expressions are always really good. His character goes through this slow paced mental breakdown where he just gets more and more paranoid and afraid, which then turns into anger and frustration. He's on edge, nobody belives him and you really get to feel that frustration with him. All in all I think Im Siwan nailed that role and no one could've replaced him on that.

Another thing i love is the suspense and the way everything builds up perfectly. Every character has a certain presence so it doesn't feel like everything revolves around the main characters. The acting felt really natural and real like we're just watching into someone's daily life. The only character I think could've been better was Yoo Ki-Hyeok . I feel like he wasn't a character that was memorable. They could've had him and Jungwoo fight over who gets to stay or something like that so he at least added something to the drama other than messing with the 'leader' role. And his creepy psychopath smile felt fake compared to Wook's. On another note, I loved the chemistry between Moonjo and Jungwoo where it felt like it could've been a BL. Like when he's calling him honey and all that. And i love all the annoying side characters that isn't like in your face annoying (except that one dude), but they're kind of subtle and throughout the series making the main character have this pent up anger and when he finally snaps at the end it's such a satisfying moment. I've also seen this in 'Extracurricular', where one of the main characters is supeeeer annoying but it makes it just so much better for some reason and gets me invested.

Okay but since it's only one season,, I have this theory of what a second season could look like. So if we imagine kind of that 'Flower of Evil' type of situation where Jong-Woo has to suppress his psychopath urges to function in society and stay low. And he again gets annoyed by the people in his workplace, etc and maybe he has a few incidents where he's aggressive or cold. And then Moonjo could come back to meet him and try to join forces, bringing out the psychopath in him again. And then some conflict with him and that police officer. Idk but i just think it was built perfectly up for a second season. Maybe even a third but not necessary. They could at least kept going for another season. Another sad thing is, this series have kind of an open ending/cliff hanger AND it's not on netflix anymore so it's hard to watch anywhere with good quality :( But i'm never forgetting this series and i hope i get to see Im Siwan and Lee Dong Wook being psychopaths in the future.

I liked this tbh

An interesting kdrama about human psychology and how gruesome people can be but ngl i didn't find this kdrama mind blowing or anything. Im gonna keep this really short here so it'll be easier for you to read. Some parts of this show were really confusing too i couldn't tell if that scene was something a character was imagining in their head or if it was happening right at the moment. Some unanswwred questions are still there but I guess that's what allows us to make theories about what could've actually happened. I also liked the vibe of this kdrama ik gore kdramas with violence isn't something we see that often but this kdrama felt real maybe its surrounding because I've seen way too many kdramas with night city views and luxurious apartments. Well thats it. I know this is a very messy review but I hope this helped even if it was a little bit . Bye!!! Till then have a good day <33

From the end of the first episode—HELL, from the beginning I was already intrigued by what was going to happen. I wanted answers and I don’t regret sticking to it since it was a really good show. From the story to the characters and how it was executed I really enjoyed it. All the actors were really good in this one. Not surprised.

If you’re fan of crime, mystery, psychological type shows then definitely you’d find this interesting. There’s a nice twist waiting for you!

Worth the shot! DO IT!

Two killers meet

A beautiful psycho dentist wants to turn the poor mc into a killer. Turns out, the mc always had those intrusive thoughts and understandable why - his surroundings didn't treat him well. He poured his surpressed emotions in his interest in writing thriller books. Still, thats not the right way to sort things out. Moreover, the psycho neighbours made him even crazier. It was interesting to watch tho.
I wouldn’t rewatch it, as it’s not interesting when you already know what will happen. Acting was on point.

Definitely Horrifying!

The ending had me puzzled, so much so that I had to search it up. Although I'm happy the story followed with a consistent storyline with every episode slowly building up to the end. But one of the characters, Kang Seok Yoon I didn't really see what happened to him so I'd say it wasn't perfectly wrapped up but it's okay because once you watch you'll probably assume what happened to him. I like it but it actually was quite disturbing and I can't say much about rewatch value because I haven't actually rewatched a drama. Moral of the story, don't bottle up your anger and be careful who you trust.

MASTERPIECE!?!?

OMFG...Let me say this. I haven´ t watched that good series in a long time!
Maybe im weird and i propably need a help but the series isn´t that traumatic as a lot people say it is BUT that doesn´t change the fact that the series is perfect.
The story is pretty good and interesting, especially at the end my small brain couldn ´t understand a thing lmao. I was so confused ( and i mean it in a good way ), that i had to read some explanations.
THE ACTING? SO AMAZING! It felt so real but if i´m being honest I wasn ´t that scared or anything, maybe because i know that it´s just series and they are just an actors ( but the one pervert with gllasses was really disgusting i must say ) .But on the other side I had to watch some behind the scenes to confirm the fact that they are all "just" an actors and not real psychopats lol
Music could be "scarier" but I didn ´t pay much attention to it ( as always )
I will definitelly rewatch it someday in the future. There is so many things i know i didn´t notice at first that i simply have to rewatch it :D

Overall MASTERPIECE
As I said before, it wasn´t that thrilling or traumatic as maybe for other people but that´s not problem of the series. It´s just the fact that propably nothing in this world can somehow surprise me anymore...but the atmosphere was really great so if you are not fu*ked up like me, you will propably NOT feel safe or/and comfortable while watching this series lol

Obvious Ending — Don’t Waste Your Time

The concept of this drama attracted me because I love horror however, it’s an incredible let down. Some of the reviews praising the ending because it was ‘unexpected’ confuse me greatly. Being a fan of the genre has absolutely nothing to do with how I saw the ending coming because anyone with critical thinking skills could see it from miles away. Each episode hinted at it repeatedly, as a result, the ending was simply shown to you from the start.

I want to highlight several things which irked me.

1. Male Lead, His Decision and Personality

He should’ve left from the first episode. I simply think the excuse that rent is cheap was not enough to make him stay in such an unsafe place. There were so many red flags that I find it hard to believe that anyone would stay. Surely there had to be SOMEWHERE in Seoul that offered him something better even if we were shown that there was ‘no way out’. There should’ve been a better excuse/reason.

The ML himself is a very annoying character to watch simply because he can’t express himself well. Even in the most infuriating moments, he restrains himself and while that is his thing, it’s an incredibly annoying thing to watch unfold.

2. His Girlfriend

I don’t understand how/why they’re in a relationship when she’s visibly very inconsiderate, selfish and thinks less of him. She never listens to his concerns at all, they’re always swiftly brushed aside as nothing. The ML cannot express himself to save his life but when he tries with his girlfriend, she immediately shuts him down. The drama tries to force the notion that she loves and sees only him and yet she does everything to prove otherwise. The ML was struggling so much and the one person who should’ve been there for him, at least to vent, was completely absent and spent most of the time antagonizing him for silly things.

3. The Pace/Length

This drama got so boring and dragged out I had to skip one episode. It was just getting dragged on and on. There was nothing exciting going on. I even ended up letting the episodes run while I was on my phone because there was nothing worth seeing going on. This would’ve sufficed as an eight episode series. I don’t understand why there were ten episodes.

4. The Ending

It was very predictable. They kept hinting at it throughout the episodes like I truly don’t understand how anyone expected anything other than that to happen.

Long story short, don’t waste your time. The cast is great but the story is just long and dragged out only for them to deliver the most predictable ending ever. Not to mention, the ML is a very difficult person to watch because he’s allergic to expressing himself properly.

Definitely worth it

I loved this show so much. There were a bunch of twists and its a lot more then your average horror show. I really liked it and the ending was perfect cause it left a lot that could maybe be turned into a season two but probably not. Overall the last two episodes were so great and the ending is just perfect. I really love lee dong wook in this as he fits the character so so well and that little bit of gayness thats sprinkled throughout the whole series just gives it a little bit of fun. Its a gory show but its definetly unmatched in the shows ive seen.

Firstly, I am so guilty for delaying this gem even after liking the cast, director and everything.
This drama is one of the best I've ever watched. From acting to direction, everything is just brilliant. I know many have watched this drama for Lee Dong Wook and I am no exception(come on, he is so handsome!!!) but kuddos to the supporting cast for making it even more worth watching.
I was actually surprised with Im Siwan. He has improved a lot compared to his previous works. I hope he continues with this and achieves big.
The only thing that irritated me was Min Ji Eun(Jong Woo's girlfriend). She never really tried to understand Jong Woo. Was always busy with her life and never cared for her bf. Even went against him and thought of him as a crackhead. She was hands down the most annoying character for me(No offense to the actress though, she did a fantastic job).
Music was just amazing. Background scores were used perfectly with every situation.
Lastly i would like to say, if anyone is delaying this like I did due to some reasons, please just go and watch it. It's really worth the hype and you wont regret it.

Wow

What mastermind cooked this up??
Wow. What can I say other than wow?
Such an amazing drama...it keeps you enticed and practically begging for more. It's weird but goddamn is it my kind of weird.
Honestly, it's probably one of the best dramas I've ever seen. It's so different and crazy and just incredibly outlandish.
You have no idea what's around that corner, you have no idea what's in that fridge, you have no idea what the next sentence- the next movement will bring.
Absolutely and undeniably certifiably insanely good. Watch this drama and revel in the absolute pure madness and "what the hell is going on here" moments.
Wow. Just wow.
If there was another season...sign me the hell up.
