In my opinion the best BL drama out there

I'm honestly baffled by some of the reviews of this drama and have myself wondering if they watched the same thing I did! This drama will rip your heart out and then sew it back together over and over. The characters are adorable and engaging and the story is great. I found myself cracking up at the lack of chill that Pharm and Dean's friends and family seem to have in getting them together. Was giggling like a schoolgirl during the sweet scenes and absolutely bawling during the sad ones. I think that the drama did a good job of handling some really serious issues and by and large steered clear of a lot of the fetishization and toxicity that frequently crops up in this type of drama. The people and situations felt real; well, as real as a story about reincarnation can get! I highly recommend watching this one. I wish it was twice as long.

This series was extremely well done. The acting was very impressive, especially considering the number of really emotional, dramatic scenes. The story carried a powerful message and showed real problems faced by the lgbtq+ community. I will definitely be looking into other series by the same director, because this series and its message were so well executed. I would highly recommend watching this series! However, I would offer a trigger warning for people who are sensitive to the topic of suicide as it is an important topic in the series.

Emotionally Taxing and Kind of Confusing

The story is intriguing, the threads of fate are touching. I understand why so many people like it, but I likely won't have it on my rec list for a few reasons.

Pros:
- The relationship between Pharm and his friends is amazing. I love Manow and Team. Every time the three were on screen -golden.
- Little mini cooking shows whenever Pharm bakes - love it. It could only be better if I got to eat it.
- Dean's siblings, Pharm's mom and brother, and Dean's grandma - love all of them.
- Team and Win's relationship, as little as we got, was cool. I like Win a lot (but there's a scene that suggests he sleeps with his earrings in and I swear to god that is not a thing. They just didn't want to change his costume because no one does that. Right? right?! )
- Everything university related was good. A solid school story that was a breath of simpler, fresh air around all the drama of the reincarnation plotline.

Cons: (this is where the spoilers are)
- ok the fat shaming for Manow was dumb as fuck and I got sick of it really fast. Just "well, look at you're body" "why are you always eating?" "ew I dont wanna see you in a bikini" "stop eating all the time" - I swear it was every episode and Manow is beautiful so they all need to just stfu, honestly.
-Crying. Everywhere. Every episode. Someone - multiple someones - crying. At first, it made sense and I didn't mind but by the end I was like "everyone cries next scene, I bet. and the one after. I bet we get one scene this episode without tears." The scenes merited it, sure, but it was a constant state of emotional height that was hard on me as a viewer when binging. Maybe it wasn't so taxing on the people who watched it week to week, but it felt like I was on edge and tense for the next emotional drain for the last 3 or 4 episodes straight.
SPOILERS AHEAD - last warning
- The timeline of In and Korn's relationship is all out of order, so trying to piece it together to get a coherent tale of woe was hard for me. I had to make a lot of assumptions about what would lead Korn to shoot himself since we didn't actually see a lot of him struggling with mental health or anything. We got that his dad was harsh and strict and threatened In, but Korn seemed positive and hopeful for his future with In all the way up until In's dad found them at the restaurant and they ran away together. Then they get confronted and Korn is suddenly ready to die. It's key for the plot but I didn't see how we got there emotionally for him.
- Convoluted family trees. By the end, I knew who was related to whom, but to talk about it was like "So Pharm's uncle... Wait, no, I mean, Dean's brother... I mean, I was right, Korn's brother and Pharm's uncle." or "So... In's grand-nephew is now his boyfriend?" It really didn't help that Grandad Mafia was technically Pharm's grandfather but Dean was there calling him Dad. When they start using old names and titles, it really starts to make me confused even though I know who is and isn't related.

So I had a good time, but after the last stretch of episodes, I feel like I've been emotionally holding my breath and I can barely remember all the fun times they mixed in earlier. All I remember is tears, nightmares, more tears, and boys needing therapy.

Amazing Storyline

Let me start out by saying this BL is by far one of my favorites, the story didn’t leave me craving anything else, It touched on many important topics such as homophobia, reincarnation, suicide, depression, anxiety. This BL was truly a jem even though it was a college BL (they tend to be a little repetitive) everything was very unique and original, the side stories were also just as good as the main ones, the support characters worked very well with the mains, I’ve never seen anyone cry as much as Pharm did but every time he cried made me want to cry, everything they said to each other was truly genuine both actors have amazing chemistry and it showed on screen.
I loved how in this BL they were able to build a story without necessarily having a villain or someone toxic their story was solely based on their love for each other

Conclusion: I personally do not tend to rewatch BLs but this is definitely worth a rewatch it has everything you could ever want in a BL and exceeded my expectations

Why This BL Is The Most Moving

Now as a Thai BL watcher, this one is going to be in the books. From the cast, to the Story and plot, Until We Meet Again is a 10 star rating because of these things! You will never find a drama (especially Thai BL) as good as this one, I guarantee.

The backstory of the two main actors is sad yet indulging to watch, making the trauma of their present lives make so much more sense.
Flashbacks/Memories are used a lot in this drama to portray a whole other storyline and keep the watcher informed about what the characters are feeling.

Not to mention the side couples!! Team and Win.. 10/10 (They're getting their own side story in 2021!) As the main characters' best friends they also show development which I love, and soon enough catch feelings for one another as well.

I recommend this 11/10, You will cry :,)

Flukes acting was so amazing! Im so impressed with all the actors and i loved the story line. It is a little off at times with the acting (but i only noticed these cuz im rewatching it with my boyfriend). The reason i dont mind that at all is because i feel like its meant to be a little awkward at times because honestly we are all pretty awkward. The music goes so well with all the scenes and i like how the story line covers so much including homophobia and familial tension. I love this so much please watch is especially if you like a completed story with happy endings.

Outstanding

I have watched this bl at least four times and I love it. The storyline is unique but I really found it intriguing. The performance of the actors was excellent. I really like how the female characters were portrayed. In this bl they are supportive and not depicted as vindictive or just plain stupid like in some of the BLs I’ve watched. I also like that issues were resolved. The music was also good. The music enhanced the scene and not overpowered it. I also like that the main characters did not question their sexual orientation but approached it in a healthy way.

One of the best. I love it from the storyline, to how it was executed throughout the season. Like most thai bl dramas its keeps you wanting to binge watch it till you see the ending. That is exactly what i did during this covid 19 quarantine and i finished this series within a week. I love how each dessert was even given a little background to it with a little history lesson. Seeing the familiar sets got me excited and reminiscing about the other BL series ive seen. Im sure we all recognize the pool area and some familiar places around the school

I realized I never gave this show a proper review so I decided to rewatch it and share my thoughts. First, a warning: GET READY TO CRY. I feel liked I cried every episode whether it was out of happiness or sadness. I have never seen a plot like this anywhere, good job Studio Wabi Sabi for picking this show up and thank you LazySheep for writing this story. Korn and Intouch's story is so tragically beautiful. Even though I knew they were already dead, I keep watching and hoping that it was all a dream or something. I was rooting for them, for their pure and true love. Although, their bodies were dead, their loved survived and they got their happy ending! And Pharm and Dean.....bruh, Fluke and Ohm ate this up! I wasn't surprised by Fluke's acting skills, but Ohm really stood out to me. He portrayed Dean well! The music was phenomenal, especially the score*--YES! Until We Meet Again isn't like anything most has seen in BL, even if you aren't moved by the story, you can't deny this was well produced.

(*Coming Home and A Peaceful Sadness..look those up. Also this series was gonna get an automatic 8 because my homegirl Sammy's in it.)

I CRIED A LOOT T-T

Until We Meet Again (UWMA) ison of THE BEST BL to me, I mean For me this BL in the Top 5!

This series show us how we can love someone until we die, and after how you can meet after die..after 30 years in another body, with same feelings like before 30 years.
The actors perfectly acting skills makes this drama more emotional and more better! These actors idk how but they perfectly matching to their caracters. This is the second BL ever where I cried like a baby, on the sad/die scenes,
and this is one of the series which have most beautiful background music and most suitable actors and actresses.
And the actors acting skill what makes more emotional the scenes, and I am so thankful about it.
The scene places also was pretty and so stylish and also the all scene place helped the viewer to take the atmosphere over the screen.

The characters are so good and perfect as they bring the emotions to all audience who have “feelings” or “empathy.”
This series has the most number of excellent soundtracks compared to all BL series ever made.
This series has beautiful and adorable actors. Studio Wabi Sabi has done the best BL production ever made, what I've seen.
Only audience with “taste”, “feeling” and “empathy” appreciate the story and can understand the message what this story want to tell us through this series.
Finally this is the only series which can someone easily love with each other and most most most most romantic series ever. I heard somewhere the season 2 is coming soon... soooo I can't wait to see season 2.

Oh and at the last thing is what I want to say I just want to say thank you for the directors and to the cast and to the stuff, thank you for working hard <3

Rambling my first review, still recovering from watching all the episodes in one day/night.

For me, this was a really good change to the normal plot in bl dramas. The second chance in love and soulmates sold my heart, and for a change where people who did wrong changed and made amends with their past.

And a supportive family and friends, i stan. All the friend that supported the relationship from the start.

Even though it was predictable i enjoyed it wholeheartedly and there were moments that made my heart warm and twist that was surprising.
Made me cry 10/10

The scene when they met their past selves' family made my cry.
And some of the scenes were so beautiful and heartbreaking like the last episode caught me off guard.

Actors were great, maybe a little bit more expressive would be nice but overall good. Also, i didn't really get it when people said that Parm was way too shy. imagine being whisked into a romance with a guy suddenly also his first relationship. so yes, he will be shy and careful.

I really didn't concentrate on the ost but was nice.
