Another pre-war narrative

Pilot episode completed. Episode began in the 1960s and I thought OK the people will grow up in a time era closer to MINE for a change. NOPE, it was a flash FORWARD to the series conclusion. More Meiji-Taisho, early-Showa suffering to come! And I guess every asadora screenwriter is required to sink their teeth into WWII. Unfortunate: "Hanbun Aoi" looks and feels shockingly MODERN in comparison to all these other recent efforts. from NHK.
