The first topic was an interview about people's kanji of the year. The kanji written by the interviewees included "thin", "mouse", "negative", "gold", "run over", "hardship", and "white". Murakami then said that he might have the opportunity to relax at the end of the year for the first time in a while, but he worried about high plane ticket prices, much to Matsuko's displeasure. Next is the "Yofukashi Freestyle Research" about nicknames which included Tonikaku Akarui Yasumura, Tenshinhan, and Luigi. Another topic in the research is about rare item possessions, which included an 8-year-old flip phone, a 13-year-old tape recorder, and a saw from 180 years ago. After that is the "Yofukashi 2023 News of the Year", which included the first Matsuya outlet in Kochi (Ep. 540), a dog that loves to walk on two legs, and Darenogare Akemi's badly delivered pizza case.
