Just like 49 Days, the main theme surrounding Rooftop Prince involved scheming, greed and theft of property/money.
Both shows focuses on the struggle of the MC in terms of finding out that the people closest to them were the ones who hated them the most. However, they each don't find it out directly as themselves.
I think it's really enjoyable just as 49 Days and it both captures the theme powerfully in a sense.

Both dramas have the same feels, since in both dramas a rich guy (in rooftop prince the guy is a prince from the Joseon era who ends up in modern-day Seoul and in Shopping King Louis the guy is the heir of a conglomerate) becomes poor and has to learn how to live a normal life with a poor woman who takes care of him.
