The first episode is really good, and it pulls you in to continue watching the series itself. I even got to write case files for the series because it is super interesting.
Here is the case file for Case 1: Mirror Illusion | Episodes 1-2:
Victim: Old Sixth Chen
Death Date: 9:00 pm
Cause of Death: Stabbed in the chest
Autopsy Report: Incision is two centimeters lower from the heart; victim was stabbed in the right atrium. High concentration of diuretics was found in the victim’s body; hyoscyamine and atropine were also found in the body.
Suspect(s): He Kun, Doctor Zhao
Witnesses: Bodyguards
Taking the Case: Lu Yao, Qiao Chusheng, Bai Youning
Case Status: Case closed; Suspects arrested and found guilty
Case Summary: At 9:00 pm, Old Sixth Chen had just finished washing his hands when a knife stabbed him in the chest. He Kun, one of the bodyguards, stated that he saw a knife come out of the mirror and stab Old Sixth Chen. The other two bodyguards stated the same thing. No one had entered or exited the bathroom when the crime happened. He Kun stayed behind with Old Sixth Chen, while the other two went to retrieve Doctor Zhao. When being questioned, Doctor Zhao had told the investigators that he had pulled out the knife, and pressed on the wound; however, he wasn’t able to save Old Sixth Chen’s life. Bai Youning, an intern reporter, had suspected Lu Yao of being the murder and went to investigate on his background. Lu Yao, a former suspect, had entered and exited the mansion at 8:45 pm, just 15 minutes before the murder happened. He helped Qiao Chusheng investigate the crime scene, and even looked at the autopsy report. After further investigation, Lu Yao and Qiao Chusheng had brought everyone back to the scene of the crime. Both He Kun and Doctor Zhao were found guilty of murder, and were arrested at the scene.
