At the ball bai qing openly challenges lin xiao with the pretext of being for charity for a dance with zi qi(her fiance) for a turn of events lin xiao gets carrones and challeges right back, they go back and forth for a little but this time lin xiao wins(dam pop the freaking champagne, its about time =D) , zi qi asks lin xiao were is her ring which reminds her of the day she found the truth about his escaped and fakes illness to get out of the ball . zi qi leaves with lin xiao but he gets intersected by tan jun family and lin xiao excuses herself only to be found by tan jun. he asl what's wrong but she replies that nothing is wrong ,she sees through her and says that she needs to own up to her own feelings and stop making excuses and sort out through her feelings, if she thinks she going to be happy by ignoring the problem she's wrong because she is lying to herself, he even gives credit to bai qing for fighting for her love.Next day
lin xiao breaks her engament with zi qi on national television the episode ends with tang jun saving lin xiao from a troop of reporters and lin xiao confronting zi qi -that she knows about bai qing and that she was only a fill in- while the wicked witch places the engagement ring on her finger and laughs like a loony
