lead couple and Jin Hee's story is very interesting!

wow, this has got to be the most realistic love stories i have watched to-date. the balance for its dynamics is really great. it presents itself not too seriously but there's a lot of depth in it. THE KIND OF WRITING I LOVE!

first, we have the lead couple. as i commented before, they vibrate similar sexual energy but their values don't match. they are the most perfect epitome of ex-lovers i have seen who might be better off as friends if one of them is totally done with the relationship and moved on to someone else. problem is both of them are still single after 3 years, and they are both sexually frustrated in their 30s. so being friends with benefits make sense in their situation.

now, if only human's feelings is that simple...

problem is, they broke up because he vehemently refuses the idea of marriage, and she wants that so badly. that actually means on her side, she has never stopped loving him. we know that from her many monologues, but they haven't given us anything concrete about his. what's his real issues exactly? we don't know anything yet.

but they got pretty generous this episode. we got a monologue of his where the previous writer hoobae who got frustrated that he totally changed her scenario, is now being scouted to work under him. and that escalated quickly too, since now the hoobae is also interested in him. so when she stayed at their house, she sleepwalked into his bedroom and laid down on his bed when he's shirtless and already about to sleep LOL. so his monologue was that, no matter the intention or whether or not he does nothing all night, he'd be touted as a sexual harasser. so he left quietly to sleep in the sofa at the living room, LOL.

i think the casting for this drama is just perfect. the FL is not the sexy type though she's pretty (she's a bit too skinny and not curvy) so that became an issue and she got jealous with the hoobae girl who's taller, younger, more curvy (in physicality), and also very straightforward (in personality) LOL.

however, i liked that the FL is totally not giving in to the hoobae's request to make way for her even though between them there's nothing concrete to seal a relationship. so she finally went brutally honest with him and told him that she has never stopped loving him, and that she wants to end their sexual-partner relationship right away and move on to proper dating. he didn't answer but later that night, he asked whether she wants to sleep together and she consented. as i said before, he comes across as really mysterious and unreadable at times but also quite simplistic actually. he still wants her, but we just don't know by how much.

//

we also get the dynamics in the female's trio friendship. Jin Hee is the naive type who finds it hard to enjoy sex with her current partner. and then there's Jae Kyung who's the most liberal of them, who we found out at the end of this episode, has been cheating on her husband with her ex-lover who she dumped to marry someone else. she's acting like a total s*** LOL. but her husband is not one without vengeance, so he got someone to tail on her, and then she got into an accident with her boyfriend. as i said earlier, this drama has a really good balance in the dynamics in the love stories it tells, and is nicely represented by the trio friends who are the epitome of someone very liberal/progressive, someone who's somewhat middle-ground and someone who's rather conservative.

it'd be so interesting to see how the writer takes all of their stories from here.

So... Does He Love Her?

Ok so the ending of this episode left me confused. Is Seok Hyun admitting that he still loves Yeol Mae or is he just you know, playing with her because he isn't sure about his own feelings. See Seok Hyun is the type of man I'd easily get frustrated with, never showing his true feelings and always just having fun. Which is why I'm team Ji Hoo. He's such a sweetheart!! I love him! The coffee lesson was cute, where he was all like I fixed your heart. I wouldn't mind if Yeol Mae ends up with Seok Hyun in the end because they have amazing chemistry as I keep saying but I like Ji Hoo better :P Again the young film-writer girl annoys me. I agree with the Yeol Mae and her friends on this point, women should date men who are close to their ages. I wasn't all that interested in Ji Hee's story in this episode because Mr. Nosy But Cute wasn't in this episode :(. But Jae Kyeong's story just got a lot more interesting.
