Something unexpected

I came into this k-drama without any research about the topic or theme this drama will cover. It had a profiling setting what i like alot and there was no or slight romance between the main character and his wife who was killed. The message it had was amazing because thanks to this i rrflected on myself and started to think about my behavior toward others. I feel like i will think about this drama for a long time even after finishing and reviewing it.I did not get bored even for a minute and i felt excited about the whole plot and i was curious about the each episode. So i am ending this with a really good ratings as expected. Have a good day<3

Jang Hyuk - From action hero to 'Rear Window'... (?)

I enjoy this drama immensely. Not only for the obvious reason of watching Jang Hyuk but also because of the two female detectives who are more competent, less submissive, helpless and docile than females are usually portrayed in Kdrama world.
Watching Jang Hyuk - who is known as an action man - playing a character who is physically incapacitated in more than one way and forced to sit still and immobile in a wheelchair for the first couple of episodes is a revelation!

The early scenes with profiler Oh Hyun Jae in his hideout instructing the young female rookie detective were amazing and demonstrated what a brilliant actor Jang Hyuk is - because I was never not completely mesmerised by his performance and wanting to find out what Oh Hyun Jae was going to do or plan next.
The actor must have relished this chance to play against type as it is very much the complete opposite of what he is usually asked to play (at least in the first few episodes...)

Dark Moody Crime Thriller

The characters are what shine brightest in this show and the leads absolutely rock their roles. Jang Hyuk is at his surly best as Oh Hyun-jae, a former profiler who’s bent on revenge. His character is the perfect foil to Choi Soo-young’s Cha Soo-young, a rookie with a photographic memory.

Cha Soo-young is still one of my favourite female characters of all time. Soft yet strong. Her character anchors the show and contrasts brilliantly against the storm and fury of Oh Hyun-jae.

The end theme is also one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs. This is a show that I wish had multiple seasons the way North American shows do.

One of the best thriller

OH MY GOD! Such an amazing kdrama! I wasn't about that should i watch it or nah. But i watched it and it worth! Amazing cast, ost, story. Sooyoung and Jang Hyuk became one of my favourite actors, amazing acting, Jang Hyuk's character has some good fighting skills. Idk which episode's ending was that but that ost was really good! I would love to see Sooyoung in more thriller dramas. If you are tired of romcoms i definitely recommend it! It has a really dark vibe that i really liked. Some points really surprised me tho, especially when Sooyoung saw those corpses

Amazing Thriller

This drama, unlike others had my mind blown….. I can usually deduct who the murderer/killer is and not be surprised. This one got me good. When they exposed who the killer was - I honestly can say, I did not see it coming. The actors all did a brilliant job in presenting their roles and the casting was brilliant.
ML although known to me previously and I have to say I’m not a huge fan but he was brilliant.
FL - I love SooYoung from Girls Generation - watched a lot of her dramas and she does this role justice. A few of these actors were first time for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I think I have read it somewhere that this is a crime & mystery drama before I get myself to watch it. Thank goodness that it is not what I thought it would be - ghost stories, lol.

This is a not so thrilling drama, but it is very brutal. Though they blur it, I still find the killing method very gruesome. However, the story is very interesting. I like how things unfolded gradually. I never expected their final revelation which is the identity of the killer, but they had a great choice of actor. He is very creepy, however, I think, as an adult version of the child, he was not able to carry one character - the coldness when it comes to killing. He is brutal, but I don't feel his coldness.

This is the second drama I have seen Jang Hyuk. He was very charismatic in "Wok of Love", and he still have that charm even in this kind of drama. I think those kind of personalities suit him the most.

The two female leads are new to me, but they're acting are so great. Overall, this drama has a great choice of actors and actresses. Great story, just too brutal to happen in real life.

I gave a quite low rate in rewatch value. I don't like rewatching thriller movies/dramas because there won't be any feeling of suspense and thrill to me, so it does not make sense for me to watch it again even though I like the drama.

Flight or Fight

This has cranked me up for the past several weeks.. It's only right that I watched it while it was ongoing cuz it brought me a number of mental discomforts. What will keep you calm here? It's Jang Hyuk's being 'extra' in his beautiful or should I say sexy, hoarse voice. It's soothes Cha Soo Young, so you should be. It has stressed me but glad that I watched and found another gem, TL Hwang played by Jin Seo Yeon, Love the badass in her.. She is a completely different person when she smiles (rare) and when serious.
Won't give much info about the story cuz it deserves to be watched without anything in mind.
People who love plot twists will surely enjoy this. But I don't think it is good to watch this in one seating.
Just a li'll short in acting that I felt for Choi Soo Young.
For rewatch value, I don't think I can rewatch this and see again those mentally disturbing scenes.
Overall I love this thriller drama. The story, the development, the leads and the villains.

I have different feelings about this drama, but the majority on the positive side. the part I liked the most was the beginning and the child case and then my interest dropped in the following case then went up again. aside from minor flaws I see because I really pay attention to small details, its a good drama with a new idea could have been much more exciting but anyway it was good enough. the most irritating part to me was the police and their fighting each other. without Jang Hyuk I think I would have dropped it xD he is my favourite. Cha so young did well too. haha I really liked it in the last episode when she jumped and kicked the criminal I was smiling while I don't know. I think also hwang ha young should have died. anyway, my rating would be 8.7. waiting for more Jang Hyuk cya.

Not my cup of tea

I watched 2.5 episodes before totally giving up this series.
What I didn't like:
- one dimensional characters. Cha Soo-Young is clumsy and with low self esteem but hey, she has a special ability. Hwang Hwa-Young job is to look serious and ignore orders. There is a team member whose job is to scream at Cha Soo-Young or tell her to shut up.
- the dialogue feels rushed. [Spoiler for ep 2] "Oh the soil is wet, the sewage will collapse soon." this foreshadowing was needed 2 minutes later. It was delivered and used badly. (Also, why didn't Hwang Hwa-Young enter the sewage? I think, she has a slender figure as well and could fit)
- bad characters dynamic. The whole team is disfunctional, they don't communicate properly, they don't cooperate etc etc. I would not feel safe knowing there is a detective/police team like that in my city.

Overall really bad production, made it difficult to watch.

What I did like:
- using mute characters and showing sign language. It was nice to see this kind of diversity and I really enjoyed the dialogue between Cha Soo-Young and her father.
- Oh Hyun-Jae being severely incapacitated after being in a huge explosion. Way too many times I saw characters walking away from severe accidents with minimum of injuries. I liked the setup for this character and was really curious how he continues life with his injuries and how he will help solve cases (unfortunately it was by having a superiority complex and knowing everything)

Overall the idea and setup had a lot of potential to be something really good, but the script and production are lacking and ruining the experience.

Anyway, even if you care for these kind of details or not, give it a try, it might be what you need.

What were the producers, director& the writers doing?!

I’m only 4 episodes in. However.
The style of writing is repetitive, based on cliches and artificial suspense which throws the viewers as they follow the story and suddenly this unnecessary, over the top and pointless stretch, which feels like time filler.
I’m quite tired of showing women at this bizarre way where they are hopeless or mad..

The one thing that works for this drama is the casting, they probably will carry the annoying writing and the drama will end up being ok, but I wish someone gave them some honest feedback - what were the writers, the producers and the directors thinking?!

OCN never fails to impress me. I am a huge fan of OCN dramas!

Jang Hyuk done it again! He's an amazing actor and each lines he delivered sents chill to my spine. That's how good he is!

Soo Young is great! And she improved so much from before. I'm looking forward to the next episodes!! This drama has a great start! Great thriller and suspense! It keeps you on edge of your seat!

I recommend everyone to watch. You will not be disappointed. I enjoyed the first two episodes. It did not disappoint me.

Too slow to be a thriller

Well, I tried. After watching several promising Korean action dramas and hit a drought I turned to this. This is where watching Korean dramas took a downward turn for me.

After watching the Memorist, I figured this would be something like that. It kind of was but the FL was nothing short of inspiring to watch. Even the second FL was annoying to watch.

The guy in the wheelchair was just there just to be there. The killer didn't leave nothing to make you want to find out who he was. Beside the fact that the FL was weak in everything she did, it made it easy for me to stop watching altogether. I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything.
