Best Mistake is unoriginal but that’s not a bad thing. The short length allowed me to binge pretty fast but the problem is it brought nothing new to the table. There was a few plotlines (like the second lead and his secret of the second female lead and her insecurities) that I wished they would explored more in-depth. If they did I think this drama would of left a better impression that on me. Even though I just finished it I could not tell you anything about the characters or plot. The acting, script, soundtrack, and couples were okay. Hence the solid 5 stars I’m giving it. It’s not terrible but it wasn’t exactly phenomenal. It was just...okay. If you are looking for a quick, mind numbing, and quirky little drama this is perfect. I don’t regret watching it and I recommend it if you just want to turn off your brain for awhile but just don’t go into it expecting a ton.

Best Mistake was good even maybe better than Be My Boyfriend until the last few episodes it just went down and down until it wasn't very good anymore, I'd have to say it was just quite average and the two leads liking each other felt forced on Yeondoos part, I get she started liking him but I didn't see any chemistry or anything on her part, more like she just dated him to date him. If she acted like she liked him in the last 3 episodes I'd understand them getting together but she seemed like she didn't care about him. Went downhill fast wouldn't recommend it honestly, there are better web dramas.Was this review helpful to you?
Ceritanya menarik sekali, walaupun aktor dan aktris yang membintangi drama ini kurang dikenal banyak orang di Indonesia. Drama dari KOK TV juga tidak pernah mengecewakan, kalian bisa nonton di youtube atau vlive.

I love the school ambient, but in this one, I LOVED the growth of each character, usually, short dramas tend to be dispersive due to short episodes and really contracted stories that fall into really dumb ones. Luckily that wasn't the case for this drama, really really enjoyed it, 99% gonna rewatch in the future!

Cute but I am always a Second Male Lead fan
I like this one. The whole series, all three seasons, are comical and cute. The episodes are short and easy to binge. I enjoyed most of the show. (Side note: I find their marketing approach throughout it amusingly obvious and completely endearing.)The criticism I have for it is that there is soooo much drama between the main couple. The build up is wonderful but I found myself rooting for the second male lead. To be fair, it is actually difficult to tell who will get the girl in this drama.
I also really like the side characters. While later seasons are not as original as this one, I think this one is pretty great!

Lighthearted and predictable but in a good way
My rating is a 9/10Let me start by saying I didn't read the webtoon, I did not watch the series and I have no plans to watch or read more than just this one movie. Why? Well, I heard that the subsequent seasons are sort of like the ever after part of Cinderella and I prefer to stop at happy. I don't need to see the soap opera. And I think, based on other reviews I have read, that if you what this all by itself, and enjoy light easy romance then you might like it Dig deep, watch the others and you might like it less.
I really enjoyed Best Mistake 1. This is exactly the kind of light, fluffy teenage romance that I can sit down and enjoy without needing it to be complicated. It is predictable, but honestly, that isn't a criticism when you're a serious fan of romantic tropes. Sometimes you know exactly where a story is going, and you still have a great time getting there.
I especially liked the premise. Yeon Doo (female lead) picks a random boy's picture to use as her fake boyfriend in an attempt to get someone who won't leave her alone to back off. Unfortunately for her, she happens to choose Hyun Ho (male lead), one of the most popular and intimidating boys at school. He is understandably furious when he discovers what she has done, but what starts as an annoyance gradually turns into something neither of them expected.
I loved Hyun Ho. He has that classic tough-on-the-outside, soft-and-warm-on-the-inside personality, and I thought it worked particularly well here. I also liked that it took him some time to realize that his feelings for Yeon Doo were becoming genuine. It made the romance feel more natural than if he had immediately decided he was in love with her simply because she was the female lead.
I also really liked Joo Ho (second male lead). He was cute, sweet, and believable enough as an alternative that I could genuinely see Yeon Doo ending up with him if Hyun Ho weren't around. That's what I want from a second male lead. I don't necessarily need to want him to win, but I want to understand why the female lead could choose him. He accomplished that.
I thought the drama also handled the teenage relationship appropriately. By the end, Yeon Doo and Hyun Ho are together in a way that feels like two teenagers actually being together—holding hands, kissing, going on dates, and enjoying one another's company. It doesn't turn into some overly sexualized version of teenage romance, which I appreciated.
There is also just enough drama to keep things moving without turning this into something heavy. The school setting, friendships, misunderstandings, jealousy, academic pressure, and romantic rivalry all fit nicely into the story without overwhelming the central relationship.
Other viewers have similarly described the first season as cute, light, and enjoyable, with several noting that the youthful romance and familiar school-drama tropes are a big part of its appeal. Some reviewers did find the pacing and love triangle underdeveloped, but those weren't major problems for me.
Overall, this was just a fun watch. It doesn't pretend to be something profound, and it doesn't need to be. If you like school romances, fake-dating situations, bad-boy-with-a-soft-heart characters, second-lead competition, and predictable romantic tropes, this is exactly the kind of drama that can be a lot of fun.

I loved the basic setup of Yeon Doo choosing Hyun Ho's picture as her fake boyfriend. It is such a ridiculous teenage solution to her problem, which is exactly why it works. Of all the pictures she could have chosen, she somehow picks the picture of the school's intimidating troublemaker. And then she has to deal with the fact that the person she pretended was her boyfriend actually knows about it.
Hyun Ho's initial reaction was completely understandable. He didn't ask to be involved in her scheme, and suddenly everyone at school thinks he is dating her. But I really liked watching his attitude toward her change gradually.
He didn't just see her picture and suddenly fall head over heels. At first, he was irritated by her. Then he became curious about her. Then he started caring about her. Eventually, he realized that he actually liked her. That progression made his feelings much more enjoyable to watch.
And I really loved the way Hyun Ho's tough exterior slowly gave way around Yeon Doo. He could be intimidating and rough with everyone else, but there was clearly a much softer person underneath. Especially when it came to her. That is one of my favorite romantic tropes when it is done well—the guy who looks like trouble but is actually incredibly protective and caring toward the person he loves.
I actually preferred Hyun Ho's blonde hair. I know the black hair was part of his character development, and I understand why they changed it. But aesthetically, I thought he looked better blonde. I also understand that, culturally, bleaching or dramatically dyeing your hair when you're an ordinary student can signal rebellion in a way that is somewhat comparable to how tattoos once carried a stronger rebellious association in American culture. So the hair change made sense for the character even if I personally preferred the original look.
Joo Ho was also exactly what I want from a second male lead. He wasn't so wonderful that I was desperately hoping Yeon Doo would dump Hyun Ho, but he was genuinely likable. I could see why she would like him. If Hyun Ho weren't in the picture, Joo Ho would have been a very believable choice for her.
That is what makes a good second male lead for me. He should be a legitimate possibility rather than someone the audience immediately dismisses because obviously the female lead could never choose him. Joo Ho gave the romance that extra little bit of tension without making me unhappy about the eventual outcome.
One of my favorite storylines involved Yeon Doo's wish for Hyun Ho. Instead of asking him to do something romantic for her, she wanted him to do something that would actually benefit himself—improve his grades.
I thought that was really sweet because it showed that she wasn't just trying to change him into the kind of boyfriend she wanted. She genuinely wanted something good for him.
And the situation that followed was also very believable. Hyun Ho goes from being a student who normally gets terrible grades to suddenly getting a 100, so naturally the teacher suspects that he cheated. I actually liked that. It would have been completely unrealistic for the teacher to simply say, "Congratulations!" when his performance changed that dramatically overnight.
But then Yeon Doo gets the opportunity to stand up for him, and I thought that was one of the sweetest moments between them. She wasn't just defending her boyfriend because she wanted to protect him. She believed in him and wanted other people to recognize that he was capable of more than the reputation he had developed.
That also ties into what I liked about their relationship overall. They weren't simply attracted to each other. They gradually started seeing qualities in each other that other people overlooked.
Hyun Ho wasn't just the scary, rebellious guy everyone assumed he was. Yeon Doo wasn't just the quiet, studious girl who needed to be protected. They each got to see more of the person underneath the reputation.
I also really liked where they ended up. The story doesn't suddenly turn them into some overly mature adult couple. They're teenagers. They're dating. They hold hands, they kiss, they go on dates, and they're happy to be together. That's enough.
I actually appreciate that more than some American teen movies that seem determined to make teenage relationships much more sexually explicit than necessary. This felt appropriately youthful and innocent while still allowing the romance to be satisfying.
And yes, it was predictable. I knew where this was going. I knew Yeon Doo and Hyun Ho were going to end up together. I knew Hyun Ho was going to fall for her. I knew Joo Ho wasn't ultimately going to win.
I didn't care.
If you enjoy romantic tropes, predictability isn't automatically a flaw. Sometimes the fun is watching the story hit all the beats you came for. Best Mistake 1 does that very well.
There are certainly places where the story could have had more depth, and I understand why some reviewers found the love triangle underdeveloped or thought the pacing could have been better. But those weren't deal-breakers for me. This was never something I was watching because I wanted a complicated examination of teenage psychology. I wanted a cute romance, and it delivered exactly that.
For me, Best Mistake 1 was light, sweet, predictable, and fun. Sometimes that is exactly what I want.

Story was cute and it finished so soon that am in dilemma right now. I didnt like how she starved herself and fainted. Leave the friends, does the parents also dont concern with their child health.
Stalker comes till the home, shouldn't she tell that to her parents..
Acting was good by everyone. When ji hyun ho was acting jealous, he shined.
Music kind of reminded me Burning Ost from Gank your heart. It was really similar.
Overall good drama for change.

Would watching this drama be your "best mistake"? Probably not
Best Mistake starts off strong, drawing you in with a decent pace, but quickly loses its charm as it unfolds. The show had a lot of potential but ended up feeling like just another ordinary teen rom-com. Nothing really stood out to me—no fresh angles or memorable moments.I wasn’t a fan of the ‘change for the one you like’ trope, or how it seemed like every guy around was suddenly falling for the female lead. It felt a bit too predictable and cliché.
That said, if you're looking for something to have on in the background for a one-time watch, it's fine. But don’t expect anything groundbreaking or unique.

Great for a binge
For a drama of short episodes, this packs in a lot of story.All the things that humans are guilty of doing, not just in school, but adult life too, are incorporated into the plot.
There are characters being labelled and judged based on their appearance (when it should be character), unhealthy obsession, one-sided crushes, jealousy and the spitefulness that brings out, feeling alone/rejected and the importance of friendship.
The cast are pretty natural and suit their roles. I thought some of the best female acting came from supporting cast member Joo Hyun-young, who was convincing as a no-nonsense, level headed and loyal friend.
There were aspects of the story that could have done with being treated more seriously, seeing as the issues were introduced in the first place....
The obsessive character of wannabe boyfriend Heo Jin-soo was no joke; he harrassed, had tailed and got physical with Yeon-doo, all pointing to the possibility his behaviour would escalate further, not to mention using his father's position in the police and bullying tactics (he had no problem using violence or seeing another person get seriously hurt) ~ hopefully consequences will come in S2.
The teacher accusing Hyun-ho with no evidence and in front of the entire class, was also wrong; if that's an example of S.Korean teaching, it's unprofessional and unethical... so much for supporting efforts and welcoming change; I also didn't get why those that knew didn't speak up immediately.
The sudden and prolonged attack from Se-chan was very weird, especially with where that suddenly went, which was bizarre given he seemed to relish the attack. No comeback there though.
I didn't like how not just 1, but 2 characters, 'conformed' and changed their images to fit in with people they liked ~ to me that is a message to youth saying society and peers will never accept you unless you look 'normal', clean-cut and don't stand out unless it's for grades or achievements. I get that in school a uniform isn't just about establishment ~ it's also about belonging and does actually ensure poorer kids aren't as noticeable based on their wardrobe, or those dressed by mum and picked on for it. However, that had nothing to do with this. Instead of the judgemental attitude changing, the character did ~ that's a major let down for me.
This series was pretty entertaining to watch overall though and I liked all the main characters.
Be interesting to see where this goes in S2.

Since this is just a web/mini drama my expectations are not that high. And I am not that strict or I don't heavily(?) evaluate web/mini dramas. So far I really love this drama. I'll rate it 10/10 and I think it is good enough to recommend it to someone.

Refreshing
I really liked this little drama, short and very refreshing. Originally I was searching something enjoyable to binge-watch and I found this one. Besides I was in my school drama phase so the timing was perfect !!It's a story without headache, with a cliché and déja-vu type of storyline. This is a romance in a school where, at the beginning, the ML "hate" the FL, then he starts to grow attached to her and he falls in love as he is spending time with her. It's not complicated, we sit down and devour the episodes one after the other.
I look forward to the season 2 because I really wonder what they are going to do following this ;)

Although it is closer to the average title than the good one, it was really enjoyable for me.
This is a web drama which means you can expect some parts not to be developed much. Since they usually consist of short episodes, I don't expect too much from web dramas and I watch them from time to time when I need a break between dramas with episodes over 45 minutes.Although "Best Mistake" is closer to the average title than the good one, it was really enjoyable for me. It had some funny scenes and pretty okay acting. I didn't expect much from the actors, for many of them it was the first title they played. The FL could show a little more emotion but it wasn't too bad. There is room for development. Of the two bad things, it is better for her to show less emotions than to exaggerate them. Also, there are people who in real life don't really show their feelings so I'm okay with it in her acting.
Also, I hate love triangles, so I'm glad this drama was so short there was no time to develop this part of the story.
I recommend watching this drama if you want to watch something very light and don't have high expectations for the plot.
