Yoo Ra suffers from nightmares every night. One day she meets her high school friends. Jin Tae is a promising artist, In Seok is a chaebol and former thug, Hye Jin likes In Seok, and Seong Ho, who used to be In Seok's errand boy, finally meet up. Yoo Ra asks her friends if they remember the classmate that killed herself. Everyone is flustered and claims they don't. Yoo Ra goes to the bathroom but passes out after seeing herself in the mirror. With friends like these, who needs a motive for murder?
This is one of those quick, messy ones where you wait for everyone to die because they're all irredeemably awful excuses for humans. Giving more detail without being spoilery is difficult, but it's a "wrongfully dead ghost with grievances out for revenge with school supplies" movie. The ending was odd, but not worse or better than everything before it, so enjoy? Hopefully that makes a decent word count, and now I'm off to find something better.
When editing kills the tension.
This actually could have been a decent simple horror movie if it was not for the actually poor editing... and sound design. From the opening scene, it was distracting. No, the footsteps with no other sound did not add to an eerie atmosphere - they sounded like someone was chopping wood.So like, everyone sucks and that includes the victim. How many times do you need to get screwed by your bestie to see how much of a coward and asshole she is? She just wanted to be a victim or something. At least Lee Yoon Soo's acting was good, even if the character was rather dumb.
Still it had some good moments - the deaths were "fun" and well filmed and directed. I actually enjoyed a lot of the shots, just not how they were put together. The editing was too slow, not sharp enough especially for the jump scares.
Overall, many better one is more or less the same plot.
