MEH BORING
It was very interesting in the start and had me hooked and I watched a ep after an ep but honestly it got boring after 3/4 episodes… they were showing so much of that fl’s auntie it had me pissed. I thought this show would have been more about the male and female lead but I couldn’t be more wrong. they had Chemistry for a bit and it was cute but it’s like he totally lost interest in her after they started to date. idk he was always out and they both were just a bit awkward on how she would always invite herself to go with him and he would just say “oh okay” like😀 They were much better when he liked her and she didn’t.It didn’t make sense, like the chemistry wasn’t there when they were dating and he had no emotions whatsoever other than just smiling a small smile at her here and there.
if you want to watch this for romance DONT EVEN BOTHER.
It’s sooo focused on the ml Family and the fl family and idec abt them. HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL with the visuals but lost it.
The only thing I loved watching was the ml’s sister. She was honestly such a fun character and brought a smile on my face. I kinda wish it was more of her and the guy she liked story even tho he was low key a ahole. She carried in my opinion 🤷🏻♀️
Overall it was a 4/10 I skipped to their parts most of the times but still were very less of romance while the drama is literally “Romance” themed. meh next please

heart feels warm and happy
Cinematography: Brilliant soft focus. Great shots of conversations at the bookclub and also a great capturing of the scenes of rural life. Park Min Young and Seo Kang Joon GLOOOWWWWMusic: I love that the music was more on the instumental side, I will not forget the theme. And also the comedic sound, beautiful.
Characters: I loved the side characters so so much. Each felt like a well embodied character and especially love the little forays into backstory that come from the characters... and the varying relationships within the plot
Plot: Just love love love the way it handles poetry and literary prose into the episode structure. A story within a story moments were my favorite. The love story mattered of course, because it was about two people who have past trauma coming together. Not too overwrought on the melodrama. I love the women centric and especially issues of consent and violence handled. A soft tribute to honest relationships... refreshing nonetheless.
Pace... not for the content overloaded social media scrolling addict. Its about relaxing, experiencing love and giving it time.
overall such a loving and warm drama. loved all the side characters and also the exploration of trauma. without cliche and the plot line felt consistent throughout. Will watch again in the winter time.

The weather is really fine
If you’re craving a slow-burn romance that actually takes its time, this is it. The cinematography is stunning, and the leads are pure visual perfection. Cmon now. You have park min young and seo kang joon 🥰It’s the kind of show you watch alone on a quiet winter night with a hot drink in hand.
If you’re a book lover, the bookstore setting is a total dream.
Between the strong, independent female lead and the ultimate 'green forest' male lead, it’s a masterpiece of understated emotion.
Watch it now!

one of the best melodrama this 2020
Both Seo Kang Joon and Park Min Young justified their skills and talent in acting and also Lee Jae Wook, this drama is so satisfying to watch because of the calmness of the settings and also the plot itself which is romantic-melodrama. Also, the OST's is super beautiful to hear and all the casts did very well! Congratulations to team I'll Go To You When The Weather Is Fine! a very heartwarming drama this 2020!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Like a sad poem set in a small, wintery town.
The people mope around a lot. It's cold and it rains a lot. The music is somewhat repetitive (one review said it sounds like a French bistro), and plenty of tears.Themes of abuse, bullying and betrayal make it heavy going at times. It’s not the most uplifting show, but there are happy bits too and a sense of community.
The ML and FL have a modest amount of chemistry - enough to be believable without setting the screen on fire.

Slow and cozy drama with underdeveloped characters...
this had a really sweet and comforting vibe. I loved the ml's little sister, she was the most interesting lively (yes lively, also lovely but I mean lively) character. Her obsession with that guy was cute I was kinda rooting for them but it's a good thing they didn't end up together, small age gaps are more serious for younger people.I love the sisterhood between the mother and the aunt!
Lee Jang Woo !!!!!! <3 this character was endearingly annoying and I loved him. I love the actor too.
the leads are both visually very pretty.
The FL tho... *ahem* (skip this part if she means a lot to you) her character was incredibly bland, boring, unseasoned and unflavored. It made no sense for everyone to be in love with her, she didn't have a single personality trait and idk if it's an issue with the writing or the actress but whyy was sheee just standing there for 90% of the time omg like make a face, show an emotion, do something.. the only time she showed some sort of personality was when she cried lol (I'll give the actress credit for that) and the lack of life in her just made it really hard for me to care about her or her story
Initially I had a lot of criticism for the FL only but after some careful thought, I decided that the ML wasn't that impressive of a character either.
shoutout to everyone else tho, the entire cast was great and the rest of the characters are very warm and likeable

this show surprised me
I was not expecting this but I am so pleased.Sometimes warm, sometimes heartwrenching, sometimes sweet, sometimes bitter... it was a rollercoaster of emotions.
Got really attached to the hometown and almost all of the characters I am going to miss some of them dearly. The actors did such an incredible job I was amazed by all of them, even the small roles.
In conclusion, such a classic! A k-drama staple which is worth to rematch for comfort <3
The couple also had a lot of chemistry which sometimes can be hard for slow slice of life k-dramas but they made my heart beat so fast!!

DISLIKE
The poor Myung Joo who had to deal with crazy Joo Hong
Pathetic Bo Young

good but expected more…
i was looking for a winter-y kdrama and this is one of the most recommended dramas i found on reddit… everyone said it was super good/one of their favorites and so i thought it had to be a 10/10.the show was nice, it was cute, but i got bored for half of the show… personally i think it could’ve been more like 12 episodes. maybe i went in expecting TOO much from it. the only plot lines i didnt get annoyed with were jangwu and im hui’s stories. i thought they were both adorable and brought fun.

I actually ended up watching When the Weather is Fine during the summer, but it was such a perfect cozy show that I’m going to have to do a rewatch in the winter. I was shocked at how much I loved this one from the beginning because it’s very slow but it was so atmospheric and beautiful that it really drew in. The cinematography of this show is gorgeous, the winter scenes especially. This show was an introvert’s dream. It takes place in a small bookstore during winter, the town moves at a slower pace and the characters are more reserved. The scenes in the bookstore felt so cozy and comforting. The main characters are both quieter and more introverted but they really open up throughout the show. The romance was extremely sweet and their evolution from acquaintances to friends to lovers was beautifully done. Eun-seop could come off as cold or indifferent but it became clear that he just struggled with expressing his emotions. He did so many little things to show Hae-won how much he cared for her. The bookstore blog posts that they put at the ends of the episodes added so much to the story and you got to see everything from Eun-seop’s perspective. Those little bits made me fall in love with him. Even though Eun-seop fell first, Hae-won was the one moving the relationship forward. Her character was willing to put it all out there when it came to love and Eun-seop really needed that. I was so invested in their relationship.
The storyline with the mother felt kind of boring at first but it ended up going in an interesting direction. There were a lot of great side characters, especially Eun-seop’s family. The one character that I truly hated was Hae-won’s ex best friend. I’m glad the show did not entertain a true love triangle but she was such a terrible and deeply self-centered character.
I loved this show and can’t wait to watch it again while it’s snowing outside. This is absolutely a show to be enjoyed during the winter. Even if you usually like slower shows, this one is still worth a shot.

it's a hidden gem, beautiful & healing
not many people talk about this drama, but this drama I feel haven't received it's due yet, maybe coz it released somewhere near covod, so maybe there was no promotions and all. however it's such a beautiful drama, like it's a warm blanket on a chilly winter night, it heals you, makes you happy, not just leads all the characters are in a way healing from their sufferings, traumas, adjusting to the ever changing life.seo kang joon is such an underrated actor, he literally is the life of the drama. Was this review helpful to you?
