Yes you are right... based on folklore she is a deity formed from a star and is a protector deity for weavers, lovers, women and children. She has other names as well but I won't translate them here lol. She is related to the qixi festival or the Chinese valentines day :)

They probably cut it out along with the extra scenes they have filmed. Then again it's listed as a promo song so they can use it for promotion instead of putting it as an episode insertion (but they also listed it as insert song lol)
